If it came down to a choice, I'd prefer to see 40 year old Brendon Lade lead our ruck than Lobbe.

Im sure Lade is still a better mark and kick than Lobbe. Maybe we should give Lade a 3 year deal.

As much as I think Cripps is a shitbird for using the points system as a way of explaining why we did what we did, it's not like the AFL came up with those numbers at the drop of a hat.

Those players you mentioned are the types I would expect Jonas to do well on.

Until they go into the midfield leaving him twiddling his thumbs defending grass in the forward line, doing his best Chaplin impersonation pointing fingers whilst his opponent doubles back & runs past him to score an easy goal after being involved in a stoppage up the ground.

TJ is the definition of one dimensional, I genuinely feel for Clurey who despite defending very well in Jonas' absence will more than likely be resigned to ply his trade in the SANFL another year before eventually asking to be traded to a club that will see him as best 22 quality.

Its funny that basing the points system on player salary alone is fine, but yet somehow Free Agency compensation derivation player salary alone was deemed an inadequate means of determining fair value.

We may finish out of the 8 next year and pick 10 or higher will be true, I'd rather like to think we can make the 8.

IF we can't, one first rounder next year is not going to ******** fix us!! Our good players will be another damn year older. We have R Gray now, a superstar, he doesn't make us super, nor will pick 10 next ******** year. + we won't have the 19 and 30 guys from this year!

Of course there is potential downside, but try to think positively some of you lot!!

We've exchanged draft picks to improve this years draft position............sack the List Management team.

I'm of the opinion that at least we have taken a risk to try and get some decent young players in now.
I can only imagine the meltdown if at the end of Thursday we hadn't done anything.
Given the players that have trade value are locked into contracts and don't want to move I'm not sure what else we could do to make changes

Time will tell if this is a good move.

How the hell is cripps still in our list management department

I started laughing when he mentioned that he spoke to other list managers about the talent in the coming drafts & most of them told him this years crop is better than next years.

Yeah Jason because Brisbane who are about to bend you over are going to tell you that this crop of players in that range are garbage.

Why would he even need to consult something like that, are our talent scouts incapable of forming their own opinions on players that we're supposed to have stacks of knowledge about?

Surely someone at the club floated the notion that we're devoid of KPF talent so maybe keeping an early pick for a draft rich of talls might be something worth considering?

Most of the talls in next years rich draft are looked up in the northern teams academies!

Its also been said by multiple people that this years draft is very deep for midfielders.
