You're showing me a 1 minute 35 sec video clip, to dispute that there were many good players on show at that match rather than one standout ......you serious?Log in to remove this Banner Ad

Pardon the intrusion, missed the game. Did he get much of the ball? What did he do that impressed you? Will Hayward from North Adelaide will go first of the SA lads judging by that game.
Good height. Decent pace. Moved up and down the ground, Mid/wing/hf. Clean use of the ball. Kick a long bomb goal. Was in the team that won along with Mcluggage and Taranto who were by far the standout mids along with Bolton.Pardon the intrusion, missed the game. Did he get much of the ball? I really like his game, I think he's just a bit too slight to stamp his authority against the best youngsters in the country at the moment but his game is right up there with the best.Good height. The coaches of the O'Loughlin team have NFI.....get carved up in the midfield all day bar Oliver Florent and persist with with more of the same....in the meantime Willem Drew one of the best contested mids in this draft languishes in the back pocket almost all day....would have to be pissed with the lack of opportunity to show his real wares.Good height. Yeah Team Judd was clearly the dominant midfield and I did notice Drew was back all day. Your man Berry was more wing? The coaches of the O'Loughlin team have NFI.....get carved up in the midfield all day bar Oliver Florent and persist with with more of the same....in the meantime Willem Drew one of the best contested mids in this draft languishes in the back pocket almost all day....would have to be pissed with the lack of opportunity to show his real wares.
Yeah he needs to fill out those shoulders. It will come.I really like his game, I think he's just a bit too slight to stamp his authority against the best youngsters in the country at the moment but his game is right up there with the best.
Nah, half back by the looks, really the match was a bit of a joke IMO with some given far more opportunity to shine than others when I thought the idea was to give ALL players a chance to strut their stuff. Don't think we learnt anything we didn't already know, thought Scharenberg and Jarman were both a bit underwhelming, especially Shaz who spent plenty of time in the guts. Hayward showed a bit and probably didn't do his draft chances any harm. You can see why I've raved about McCluggage for the last 18 months, he's just so clean and aware, very Akermanis like in that regard. Florent probably now well within 1st round discussions if he wasn't already.Yeah Team Judd was clearly the dominant midfield and I did notice Drew was back all day. Your man Berry was more wing?
At this stage seems like a forward, we won't know for sure until he completely fills out but I can think of at least one other skinny forward who was good overhead at this stage of his career who has filled out and become one of the best mids in the comp... So there is a chance. Is Hayward only a forward or will he be able to play midfield?
Agreed - Been saying that for a while !Will Hayward from North Adelaide will go first of the SA lads judging by that game.
Wishful thinking but he looks to be a nice sized medium forward. Did play well in the All Stars game despite not having much of the footy. Not sure he's the best fit for Adelaide unless he the club thinks he can become utility like what they saw in Tom Doedee last year as a defender. At this stage seems like a forward, we won't know for sure until he completely fills out but I can think of at least one other skinny forward who was good overhead at this stage of his career who has filled out and become one of the best mids in the comp... That's ambitious to say the least. Hayward in my eyes wont be a star but could be a 30-40 goal a season player up forward. His ability in the midfield isn't known at this point but right now I don't think he has the capacity to play in their full time. If we did draft him we would have to start him at half forward and see if we could slowly integrate him into the midfield. But calling him a star in the making is a bit over the top at this point. As I said before - I'd be happy to take Hayward with our first pick (he won't make our next pick). He has the tools to be elite.
He needs to improve his work rate as he coasts around a bit too much, but he has IT. Will be a star in AFL.
Top 15 is pretty much a lock now after a great grand final for Sandi and the All Stars game. He finished with 29 disposals, 7 clearances and 7 inside 50's in the all stars match.Nah, half back by the looks, really the match was a bit of a joke IMO with some given far more opportunity to shine than others when I thought the idea was to give ALL players a chance to strut their stuff. Florent was great other than his kicking . I think earlier 2nd round now ( had him 3rd round earlier but he's done alot lately )Wishful thinking but he looks to be a nice sized medium forward. Admittedly he was in the better team. Hinge was the other one that had a bit of it. The other SA lads toiled.Agreed - Been saying that for a while !
Don't let Marty hear you say that
