Bicks or Skippos

What's your take on Jamie Hampton? Seems to be getting attention because of his pace, but from the brief highlights I've seen, doesn't seem to have a lot of other weapons. Has no left foot at all.

Rookie or late draft, worth a shot for sure, plenty of x factor, little footy discipline.

Griffin Logue looking more and more desirable all the time. Went into the midfield for Swan Districts late in the year and starred. Clearly has elite endurance and athleticism. At 193cm, could be that big bodied mid we're desperate for. Will be around the mark if we hang onto 13.

Bicks Poholke looks to have had an impressive combine. The more I see him, the more I'm liking him, and he seems to have a bit of Taranto in him, yet with a bit more ruggedness. I know you like him, hat would you say his strengths are?

Strikes me very much as a defender, Logue - but a very good one. Brilliant 1v1, very athletic, very good on the rebound

Are we talking Doedee here?
More KPP size, 193cm
Was a defender. Now a mid. Only been playing the game seriously for 3 years as well after being a junior rower. Consistently played at WAFL level too. Could be anything.
Fair enough, only have seen games where he's played down back. 15.2 (?) beep test suggests that he could well become a very good midfielder, actually

Said it before and will say it again - Will Hayward. Need to grab him.
If the Carlton Gibbs/Lyons pick swap is happening then I'm using that first pick 24ish on Hayward.
Love him ... Jordan Ridley as well . Both quick and versatile and potential for mid/fwd ( Hayward) and mid/back (Ridley) .

Outstanding 3km run by Jarrod Berry 9.46 backing up his outstanding 15.1 Beep Test after an earlier reeling off a 7.80 Agility test at the preseason Combine...Fellow Rebel speedster Tom Williamson also an outstanding 9.50 run backing up yesterday's top results in all disciplines.

Tommy is a very good footballer, very quick, played quite a few roles this year, running defender, wingman, outside mid, played down back mainly for Vic Country at the Championships...from just up the road Ararat, nice size around the 188cm mark and quick....Plenty of draftable attributes.

:D

Jarrod Berry's face shows the strain during the beep test at the NAB AFL Draft Combine

RELATED
THREE possible first-round picks shared top place in the beep test in a busy day three of testing at the NAB AFL Draft Combine.

Victorians Jarrod Berry and Oliver Florent, and West Australian key defender Griffin Logue all reached level 15.1 in the shuttle run, which was the final event of a jam-packed Saturday at Etihad Stadium.

Berry's performance was another reminder of the 2015 All Australian's great athleticism, while Florent's effort showed he can match his pace and class with a strong endurance base.

Logue's performance was perhaps most impressive, with the athletic key back pushing himself to exhaustion in his final run of the afternoon. Some recruiters see him as a possible top-20 pick given his size and ability to move around the ground.

Jacob Allison was another player to remind people of his excellent athletic profile, running 2.87sec to take out the 20-metre sprint test ahead of Ben Ainsworth (2.90) and Josh Rotham (2.92).

Ainsworth again placed in the top group of performers for the agility test, which was won by North Ballarat prospect Tom Williamson. The skillful medium defender recorded a time of 8.15sec.

The jumps tests were also completed under the watchful eyes of clubs at Etihad Stadium, with Jordan Gallucci's leap of 89cm in the standing vertical jump breaking the all-time record.

The speedy midfielder's background in volleyball makes him a vibrant prospect and his jump overtook the record held by American Marvin Baynham (88cm in 2014).

Possible No.1 pick Andrew McGrath led the way in the running vertical jump off the left foot with a leap of 96cm, while Logue was best on the right side with a lift of 91cm.

The combine concludes with the 3km time trial on Sunday before the attending prospects have another set of interviews with clubs.

Nice efforts by Ballarat Rebel draft hopefuls inside/outside mid/defender Callan Wellings and small forward/mid Jarmaine Jones.

Fox Footy should put an afternoon combine special on broadcasting these events.

Introduce the player and show what they are about. Since it's on pay TV, you don't have to watch it as its on a special interest channel.

33 possessions in one of his recent games as a mid. Report says he consistently burst through packs with his strength. 194 cms now and 92kgs. That's a big 18 year old who can run all day. And one of the top vertical jumps at the combine. Exciting.

Needs a haircut..:D
Yep, I'm sure he's another in the mix around our pick, brings plenty to the table. Freo or WCE could go early if they retain their 1st pick for the draft.

Probs too early for Freo but WC at 12 will have a tough choice. They do like their WA boys with early picks and Logue, English, Bolton and Rotham could all still be there. Neither of them get another pick until WC at 33 and Freo at 40.

You think Logue would be there at 13, a month ago you'd say probably at 24 (if the Gibbs/Lyons mail is right) but doubtful now.

So hard to pick this year, going to be a lottery down to draft day I think.
