Imagen if over the next five years we went Angwin, Reilly, Carey, Watts, Meesen, Sellar with our first rounders
We would have to change our name to Richmond

Really appreciate reading the thoughts here Jeffcrowe, Bicks and others.

Draft interview with Ogilvie recently was interesting. Said he really values competitiveness, and potential for improvement.

If you apply the Ogilvie filter which (a) excludes anyone without average or higher competitiveness, and (b) scales up anyone with room for improvement eg new convert to AFL...

Does that narrow down to any specific candidates?

Too early to call which players be in our range

If I had to nominate 3 with our first pick I'd say Taranto , Powell-pepper and Atley

Graham would be the only SA worth consideration at our first

Few kids with restricted elite football training/ exposure due to other sports or lack of opportunities include Marshall Perryman Battle poholke Olango Davis

I think there's plenty of SA youngsters that are draftable as "later" picks and I'd be surprised if we're not looking seriously at a couple of them i.e. Pitman, Slimming, Villis, Stengle, Comitogianni, Cox, Walker, Lebois, Hayward.....and plenty of great rookie options. I'm particularly bullish about Jake Pitman and Tyson Stengle personally. And I still reckon we;d take Scharenberg before Graham....Graham's disposal is my real worry.

Jake Pitman 32 Disposals and a goal in 2's for Norwood.
Jonty Scharenberg 26 Disposals in the 2's for Glenelg
Ben Jarman 26 Disposals and a goal in the 2's for the Roosters
Jack Graham 24 Disposals and a goal in the 2's for the Roosters
Jake Comitogianni 25 Disposals and 3 goals in the 2's for the Eagles

Who's the last guy?

Brett Anderson Podcast from a couple of months ago re this year's draft especially the Academy youngsters available to the GWS, GCS etc...good listen..

Just looked at his list rates a few Academy players, Doesn't he,

Also I believe we will differ on Graham and Scharenberg, Really only have couple of reasons, I believe Graham is perfect replacement for Thommo, And He's faster and he does have a good kick ;)
Also if the Crows finish top 4 Scharenberg may not be around, His SANFL form could put into top 14 out of reach for us.

My picks for the Crows unless one of the top 14 drop down the order, is Graham and then Jarman as by draft time he would have push up to a 2nd round. Bonus for us.
But to be honest at this time its still too early, TAC and SANFL form will change picks I believe.

He's pretty good with this stuff .... I like Sam Petrevski Seton and think he should be top 3 though if not no 1

Interestingly he has Vilis as his highest SA kid and I think he may be right , v classy outside mid

No sign of sharenberg in top 25 which I think is correct and no josh battle - also agree with that

Hard for us to grab a complete player if we end up around pick 18 -20 behind academy picks

And I think you'll both be wrong....:)

History says pure outside midfielders have an extremely high failure rate .......

I also posted that i have a stupid theory that AFL footballers have to look like AFL footballers ......not table tennis players :p

Has narrow shoulders .....will be another Mackay ......Adelaide Crows NEVER select pure outside players

Petrevski Seton was simply irrepressible in 2015 Championships .........a better model Charles Cameron

He'll certainly go high ......I agree Sharenberg will slide as other late season bolters appear

Wayne's-World whats your thoughts on Andrew McGrath? A gem of a player, but 179cm

I know I'd want him
Too early to start too serious Draft watching ......read a few phantom profiles, but not enough to comment too much ATS ......once i know the players better, i'll then watch the Championships that i've recorded

Some watch the games, then read the profiles ......i do it in reverse to see if the profiling is accurate or not

Ask me again in October ;)

I'm not saying we should take him but think a club will take a punt on him early . You're right and I agree , equally don't think we will take Shaz. Only one I'd consider early is graham but depends on who is there - similar to Luke Dunstan will be an AFL player but workmanlike only
