Unfort missed the game !!

How was it Bicks or anyone else ?

Higgins is a star , absolute gun despite the size
Basically the Footy Prophet guy is on the money...

Coleman-Jones played deep in backline most of the day which I thought was strange, of the other SA boys I thought Kreuger and McPherson showed a bit.

Of those not mentioned above I liked the look of Ethan Penrith who I've seen before here, explosive pace and really takes the game on..Big men Hayden McLean and Brayden Crossley impressed, Jack Clayton, Connor Ballenden, Jack Petrucelli, James Worpel, Joel Garner, Jarrod Brander and local lad Aiden Domic all had their moments.

Haven't really seen too much of Jackson Edwards yet, what did he play like today?

Played really well, he's a real good prospect for sure, not slow, not quick....hits targets!!:thumbsu:

Kid I've seen before and liked Ethan Penrith is a name to put in your black book...express pace and dare!!

Does Edwards play more inside or outside? Or is it hard to tell at this stage?

Penrith I haven't heard much about, definitely sounds a good prospect though. Worpel a favourite of mine, attacks the contest so hard, doesn't sound like he broke the game apart today?

Any developments with Jamie Hampton? Earlier in the season he was touted as a potential late 2nd/3rd round prospect. Scintillating pace and attacking flare, but next to no defensive game seemed to be the way he played.

Edwards seemed to find space well and get on the end of it nicely, hard to tell re the inside/outside in today's game as wasn't in the midfield much, next year we'll know more as he gets more exposure.

Penrith is an indigenous lad and has some really serious wheels....

Would not draft him personally although he has some excitement

Shhhh!
He's a spud. Never mention his name again (until he's wearing the tri-colour).

We need to focus on slowish, solid, inside mids.

What's Joel Garner like?

Please tell me he's a ruck.

Don't like it much !!!
A few a little high, a few a little low but all in all not too bad...

The more I'm seeing I think Galluci might be where we land and I'm not his biggest fan....no doubting his pace, agility and disposal etc I'm just not sure there's much more upside there to develop, both times I've seen him up close he's been a bit underwhelming and looks very well developed physically, I don't think he has the build to bulk up much more either. I just think we might get seduced a bit too much by his speed and disposal.

The more I look at this draft I wish we still had our 2nd round pick or we can somehow procure one in trade week as I can see quite a few players still available there that with the right development could still turn out to be A Graders.

Powell-Pepper or Venables if we keep pick 13 , I personally think we will use that pick on Bryce Gibbs however

Massive Hayward fan as well and would have him if we can trade into early 2nd round

Would love Hayward in the 2nd round, do we need him though?

If we don't trade for Gibbs (which I think we will), I reckon Venables is our best bet

If we get a 2nd round pick I'm hoping Jordan Ridley is on our shopping list along with Myles Poholke and Willem Drew , I can see Ridley in the midfield and we already know he plays down back competently and as an under ager last year hit the scoreboard in bunches up forward.

Not over keen on Powell-Pepper personally..

Edit : Ridley's DE% is off the scale, gun kick.

Powell Pepper really impresssed me in fridays game , his power running was phenomenal and his ability to win contested ball and then run away from the contests is something we don't have since you know who left

His kicking was ok too

Think it will all be a mute point TBH . Would love poholke with our 3rd round pick ( longshot to be available )

Do we have any interest in Jonty Scharenberg?
Wouldn't be a huge surprise but probably not. He's dropped down the list this year after being seen as a top 5/10 prospect in his bottom age year. Harder for him rack up spectacular games playing against men in the SANFL than the TAC guys playing against skinny teenagers. Had a good rather than amazing carnival. The knocks that he doesn't have x-factor/weapons that people keep going on about are the same things people said about Sam Mitchell, Josh Kennedy, Dan Hannebery etc. He's a pure footballer that finds it and finds teammates with it.

49% kicking efficiency in champs as well
That would be one of his main knocks

Ah the magic bullshit of stats over actually watching a player.

He's a very precise and efficient kick when in space. Even the best kicks in the AFL don't always get it to a teammate when they're kicking quickly out of a pack, which is where Jonty did most of his work in the Nationals. You want to throw up his handball efficiency stat?
