2 weeks to go until we know our actual list and draft picks.

Then we can all get cracking on putting forward our 2c.

Gotta feeling that picks will be flying everywhere these next 2 weeks.

Yep ,
Of course at this time we can keep an overview of all the prospects but will be much more interesting when we know our numbers ...

Griffin Logue with 15.2 in the tall defenders.

Jimmae really interested to know if/how Simpkin is testing. Can you help? (Don't do Twitter and such like)
Nothing on Twitter.

Nothing on Twitter.

Logue is going to be a powerful , imposing figure after 2 or 3 AFL pre-seasons. And can really play. Makes quick decisions and gets the ball moving quickly with smart, acurate left foot and hand.

Draft range ?

My Ratings for Logue on:

July 29 - #15
Aug 18 - #16
Sep 02 - #14
Oct 06 - #13

I am a fan. But we have Weitering, Plowman and Marchbank so not sure he'll be for us. Unless he can play midfield or utility. That would be an interesting player to have. 194cm beast who runs a 15.2 before an AFL pre-season.

A 1st and a 2nd for Gibbs
A pick for Tuohy
Our existing 2nd
Weitering possibly forward

Anything is possible ...

Yep, got no idea what our list and draft picks will look like in 2 weeks time.

We could have 2 picks in the teens.

Or we could have Pick 5 and no picks in the 6-40 range

Just gotta wait til we see what picks we end up with.

Need another quality midfielder. Half a dozen decent forwards, built around a key position forward.

We need to trade Casboult for a first round draft pick or another player.

Still not sure if bringing in the youth is the right option. In maybe 4 or 5 years the core group of draft picks (Wietering, Cripps, Silvangi, Boakhurst, McKay)might have grown into decent players, but that's still a lot of years down the drain (and traditionally Carlton fans aren't very patient). We don't know if these young kids are going to be quality stars, I wonder if this was yet another mistake when we could of been trading older players for quality stars. At least we would have some talent in the foreseeable future.

Um, having one too many this weekend mate?

You want to keep Casboult then do you? He can't even kick a goal from 20 metres out. He proberly isn't worth a first round draft pick, but we should be pushing harder to get something. The main reason we are where we are is from poor recruiting in the last few years. Did you read the rest of my comments, there is no guarantee that these kids will be any good, I may we wrong, I just hope these rebuild years are not wasted years.

That vertical jump from Gallucci is off the charts, all time record, knocking off the Yankee athlete last year, or was it this year.
For a medium size outside mid, who can contribute inside, was off the charts. Trained with us preseason, impressively, and will fall
into our likely draft range after mooted deals. Am well aware his performances through the season have been spasmodic, can I tell
myself he has a commitment, and "tanked"....lol.
Have liked (dreamed) of a combination of Gallucci, Simpkin and Clarke. With 15/16 likely coming back from GWS, a Tuohy trade,
our second and possibly Adelaide's first, this becomes highly feasible......may even be scope to add G/F....G/S pick Kerr as well if
all of the rumours come to pass.

Gallucci rounded, although outside leaning mid, who can also play HB or HF
Simpkin, off broken leg was talked of as top 5 prospect, elite pace and disposal, smart, and productive forward, likely to
increase his midfield minutes. Leftie who I see as a wingman ultimately.
Clarke, inside beast, who also runs both ways and under rated on the spread, great back up for Cripps while developing.
Can play an accountable role, as well as clearance "king". Another leftie who adds to our balance. See as replacement,
upgrade for Ed Curnow over time.

Feel we need these types more than say Scrimshaw, who is HB/3rd tall first, with the hope of becoming a genuine mid.
Delivery, ball security, line breaking, run and carry, from Gallucci and Simpkin types, is what we need most.

Clearly I am not seduced by the razzle dazzle, hype of the top few, beyond those who will be out of reach..........
...although enamoured by the prospect of luring Fyfe to add to that list and our mooted trade ins......reset done:D
