I'd have said the same thing about SPS last year.If we trade next years first and miss on Worpel I think I'll cry.

I'd love McGrath, but GWS appear to be in front of us and they want him to.One of the best school boy sprinters in the State. If he can run from the back half nobody will catch him.
I'd love McGrath, but GWS appear to be in front of us and they want him to.
I would also love a couple of nice, early picks. Alas, with the Gibbs trade and the Tuohy trade going nowhere, and not likely to unless Geelong and Adelaide start being reasonable, that is looking less likely.
One guy I think highly of is Berry: he has come on from the injured nd out of form guy from early in the season. Midyear I wouldn't have touched him, but he ended the season about as well as he could and in a lot of different roles.
I think we need a small forward: one of Ainsworth, Simpkin, Shai Bolton, Willi Rioli and the like. We just don't have any X-Factor in our forward line. Rioli lost a lot of weight and improved his fitness: he now looks almost ready for senior footy. Bolton has pace and X-factor. Ainsworth looks very promising.
Brodie vs Taranto vs SPS
Leaning Brodie myself.
Am I wrong in thinking he could be a lock 200 gamer kind of like Cunnington? He's a safe pick.

I'd agree.
Brodie looks like the sort of player who could slot into our midfield immediately.
Good size, hard working, two way runner, clutch, contested beast, tough, good handle on the pill, good mover.
You're also spot on in saying he's a safe pick, you know what you're going to get.
I like Drew for similar reasons, hope we can nab both of them.
You just described my wifeThat's why I wouldn't take Brodie at 5, better bang for your buck in the 2nd and 3rd rounders for this type of player

Very doubtful that we will go for 2 WA boys.

Why? We love our W.A. boys.....Cripps, Boekhorst, Bootsma, Lucas..........why stop now?![]()

There's a couple of names there that maybe should not be mentioned here anymore.
If we go for a WA kid, then I hope it's Powell-Pepper because he has stated that he want s to play his footy in Melbourne, away from the Perth.
I think that Petrevski-Seton said the same thing, but I know that Powell-Pepper has said it.
