Stress fractures in both legs..... not great IMO
Going to be putting the line through a hell of a lot of the potential draftees then, many have have had significant injuries during their junior careers given how hard some of them push themselves to get on an AFL list, might just be a coincidence but it seems to happen more with the more talented individuals.
With the strenuous medical testing they do nowadays on the draftees I would be sure the recruiters would have a good handle on the likelihood of ongoing issues.

So Berry is high on the list then ??

They better be hell bent on midfielders and I get what he's saying but for list balance you have to draft with needs in mind as well, especially given we can't trade in quality mids.

There's going to be great midfielders around at 13, I guess what hes saying is they don't have to be super quick ones.

Jordan Galluci it is :D

Twomey's final Phantom is out...
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-11-23/callum-twomeys-2016-phantom-draft

JORDAN GALLUCCI
3/5/98, 183cm, 75kg
Eastern Ranges

Gallucci's special athletic traits were on show at the Combine, when he broke the all-time standing vertical jump record and blitzed the field in the repeat sprints test. His ability to break out of a stoppage and zip away is rare, and he can kick long goals on the run. Gallucci may start across half-forward but he can also be placed as an attacking half-back with his run and drive. The former volleyballer is a professional and determined teenager who has been preparing for his shot for a while.

Tomorrow's heroes: Jordan Gallucci

If not him? The Crows would look very closely at Jarrod Berry if he got through, as well as Will Hayward. Speedy half-back Cedric Cox has been linked with them while Oli Florent, should he still be available, could be considered. They have been linked to placing a bid on GWS academy player Isaac Cumming at this spot.

Draft picks: 13, 43, 53, 66, 82, 90 (likely to use four or five selections)

The Crows are into things early and then have a little wait before using three later picks. They have been linked to mobile forward Patrick Lipinksi, who has good spring in his game around goal. Another chance for one of their third-round choices is Esava Ratougolea, a tall forward/ruckman with Fijian background. The 18-year-old is raw and will take some work but jumps at the ball and tackles hard at ground level. Ben Davis, a medium forward from Sydney, is also in the mix for the Crows, while Jonty Scharenberg will also be a chance to join the club at those later picks. Scharenberg is an inside ball-winner who could complement the club's midfield unit.

Prefer Hayward before Port get him , if not prefer Cedric but it's a close call between Cedric v Galluci

Galluci would at least play that role that Dmac played last year ... Bit of inside / outside that we lack . Could play in his first season just not sure he will be a star long term

Galluci would be 6 on my list of preferences seriously...

Gallucci I've got ranked at about 20 in my rankings. Wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd be okay with it. Has some very good traits. Can play inside and outside.

Also - calling it now, I'm gonna say Lipinski will be a Crow at 43.

Brett Anderson's final Phantom

Hope he's right with Zach Sproule, can't see it personally at that pick.

15. Adelaide

Will HAYWARD
Ht: 184.7cm | Wt: 76.6kg | Medium Forward | North Adelaide

This may depend on what the Eagles do. Hayward, Berry and even Cedric Cox will come into consideration. Crows could also bid for Cumming.

45. Adelaide

Jonty SCHARENBERG
Ht: 183.2cm | Wt: 80.6kg | Inside Midfielder | Glenelg

53. Adelaide

Sam WALKER
Ht: 185.1cm | Wt: 79.2kg | Medium Defender | Glenelg

65. Adelaide (bid not matched by GWS)

Zach SPROULE
Ht: 195.6cm | Wt: 88.5 | Key Forward/Defender | Murray Bushrangers

Brett Anderson has us taking Hayward and Sharenberg with our first 2 picks

Both Anderson and Twomey have us possibly bidding on Isaac cumming with our first pick - this is a massive reach for mine . Think he had 1 game for year over 20 possessions but is a very smooth mover with speed and good with ball in hand

I'm liking the Hayward and Lipinski combo with our first 2 picks . Both forward / mids in long term with plenty of upside

Would love Scharenberg with our second pick, I'd be all over that.

I'll trust Ogilvie on the night, but outside of the following group, I have doubts as to them becoming true game changers.

Brodie,Venables, Berry, Perryman, Powell-Pepper, Hayward, Simpkin, Logue and Scrimshaw.

*People likely available at 13

Is there a shift to taking local talent going on?

I like Gallucci, so I'm happy with that. Ratougolea is an interesting one, looks like a good development type KPF, raw but great size, athletic and strong comtested mark.

Judging by Anderson and Twomey there, 1st 6 appear reasonably set, but after that it's a crap shoot as Gold Coast have so many picks, hard to work out who they rate higher. Essendon could still throw a spanner in the works and select McLuggage.

The gamble is that those 2 DON'T become midfielders. Hayward himself has said he sees himself as a 3rd tall.
