If the rumour's are true and Noble is going to Brisbane and Rocky is coming to AFC, Will that mean in the handover period that Noble will have to negotiate with Noble to get the deal over the line
Noble agrees to the deal with Noble and Adelaide hand over a 4th round pick.

Straight swap

Noble for Rocky

Sounds fair to me

He did qualify that with a subsequent tweet saying he was "on the outer"

In any event its potentially a live one
From everything that's been said, Lions want to move him on before he hits FA and potentially changes his mind about staying, while Rocky is adamant he doesn't want to go anywhere. It's a tough position for the Lions to be in.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about that haha

It can't happen both ways and could get ugly if yes forced out the door. Maybe it's just me, but the wording of the tweet indicated that he wasn't dumped onto the trade table against his wishes.

Re-read it. Dumped. Could well get ugly if true

If he wanted to stay that badly he could always renegotiate his deal.

Agree they want him gone but I think he's on a big pay day next year and he knows he doesn't have to go anywhere. So he just sits it out.

When the crunch comes he will choose Hawthorn.

Don't forget he's not on a big payday next year if he moves. Loses FA eligibility

He is if he gets that payday early, if a team was planning to take him on FA next year then they'll surely be offering the same or very similar personal terms when getting him a year early.

Both teams get reamed somehow?

No.. it's a failure if none of them are able to establish themselves in our best 22, for a number of years. Anything less than 3 (of 5) best 22 players from that trading period and it has to be regarded as a failure. Right now, Seedsman is the only one who has come close to establishing himself - and he's fallen out of favour in the second half of the season (albeit not helped by injuries).

It is not enough for these players to be providing "depth".
This is just a ridiculous way to assess the list .......under your methodology if we had 26 Gary Abletts, and no injuries, then 4 Gary Abletts would be viewed by you as a failure

You have not factored in:
1.lack of injuries in AFL side ....injuries to players in the SANFL.. Otten, Shaw, Menzel (concussions), Hampton

2. Developing players ....Wigg, Milera, Dear, Doedee

3. First Year Cat B players ......Keath, Greenwood

So it seems your comments should be aimed at a small select group of players, that i agree have stagnated on the list whilst they've been leap-frogged .......but what are we talking about maybe 3-4 players only

Regarding Seedsman, fallen out of favor......are you kidding!!! .......injuries are the only reason he's been out & the selectors via the media indicated their desire to have Seedsman in the team ......only injuries prevented his elevation and the senior side winning

Lol Vader

So you explain how the first three have had injury ruined 2016's and then go on to write off their AFC careers.

Please wind the clock back 12 months and tell us what Mitch McGoverns prospects at the AFC are...
a lot were predicting delist .....similar to a view on Dear early season

I'm calling garbage on that statement, whilst I wouldn't advocate "over spending" for Ben Jarman just because he would be our first father/son the lad's only real deficiency is pace other than that he ticks almost all AFL standard boxes to my eye. Elite foot skills on both sides and Grade A football I.Q. more than counter his lack of top end pace.

If we can draft him with our 3rd or a later pick he could turn out to be a real steal....all of that resting on him selecting Adelaide as his preferred team.
Seem to remember similar negative comments on Caleb Daniel, who certainly isn't quick, but runs all day at pace and has the cleanest hands and footy brain ........similar to Jarman potentially????

All that big picture and injury stuff is a bit beyond Vader. Needs a depth chart. No media in Canberra.

Spot on.

That's why I think his management are strong with public statements of wanting to stay and play out his contract.

Letting Brisbane know in no uncertain terms he wants that 2017 payday from them, and if they do want him gone, they need to facilitate at no cost to him.
