Papa G, but after your comment on Eddie after the banana incident which was something like "Eddie Betts does actually look like a chimp"- I don't know why you would even set foot on our board and expect to be seen as anything but a troll.

Really said that, if so should not be allowed to post on our board again......that is disgraceful.

Combine that with Jimmy insinuating that one of our own was partially responsible for Phil's demise (RIP) and you really do get a sense of what they are like as people. Their hate for the Crows knows no bounds.

Sounds like a few over here are getting a little ahead of themselves after an injury free year and all their players having stellar seasons. I of course could be wrong, but I believe both teams have an equal chance. Who would have thought that in 2013, after Crows' stellar 2012 they would have dropped how many places? Was it 9 or something? And Port after our atrocious 2012 jumped 7 places? Changed fortunes. We will have Ryder back, PP will allow Ollie more freedom to come forward, and Gray too, we could play Breddy if need be, we have a host of players coming back from injury and suspension and we also have a new mids forwards coach in Lade (whom Walsh was chasing for your mob by the way.) If our leaders, who massively under performed last year, I agree, step up I believe we have as much chance as you. If your players drop off or you get some injuries..well.... No on has a crystal ball and those who give us no chance are just following the mob with little understanding of our team.
Who us your key forward when Dixon misses games?

He is yet to play 22 games in a single season. Last year was his best year games wise but was hobbled for half the games he played.

His ankle injury is already flaring up.

Big man with ankle injuries is never good

BTW I have the same reservations on Jenkins now that he has a dodgy ankle. But we have depth in that area.

You guys don't.

I know anything can happen but you've got Saints and Melbourne pushing hard for top 8 next season.
Essendon will come back strong too. Last year their top ups were well drilled but lacked AFL polish. Woosha will have their A team firing this year.

Tippett and then Walker with an ACL.

Jenkins wasn't at his current level yet and we wouldn't even play Johnstone until the end of the season cause he was such a lazy ****.
And Sando's lack of coaching nous got exposed when Bailey was no longer able to help him....

That's a team I really don't know how they'll go. The same goes to Fremantle :)

The similarity between Hinkley and Sanderson continues to amaze me.

Since the departures of Walsh and Richardson he's been all at sea.

So will Freo. A fit Fyfe, Sandilands and with their recruiting they could have a decent rise.

In 2017 I dont think the top 7 teams will have it all their own way again as the bottom teams will improve but I still think they are far enough ahead to still be playing finals.

That leaves a lot of teams on the up to fight for 8th spot. Port are going to have a lot of competition in that bottom 8 but besides Ryder they have no upside wheres there teams around them that do.

Saints have recruited well, they are young and they get Carlisle back, they will be a decent team in 17.

Their footy careers are somewhat intertwined.

Played similar position at Geelong. Sando effectively replaced Hinkley.
Both had similar development coaching roles at Geelong. Again Sando replaced Hinkley when Hinkley went to GC.
Both have coached at Port .

Both had their best years as head coach with highly respected tactical Assistant Coaches by their side

Both struggled when lost these assistant coaches.

It's good for Kockies brand [emoji106]

Kochie needs to be seen as the ultimate moral compass for the sake of his job. He runs around claiming to be king of the PC brigade at all times. Its purely so it makes him unsackable. There has been talks behind the scenes on Sunrise for a very long time about ousting him for new blood. Hence why all this media PR stuff with Port seems to be ever increasing. The more he has this image in the media the harder it is for him to be replaced.

You guys have only been in the finals twice in nine years.

Assuming your failure is just playing the odds.

I think we over achieved in 2012 due to a soft draw, so losing Tippett hurt. I don't think in 2012 with Tippett we are as good as we are now.

I think Ryder hurt but your side has many holes in it that means he won't be the difference between playing finals or not.

You've got to remember how strong the top 7 teams were this year, you are coming from a long way back and you've got a lot of teams around you who also have lots of upside.
But according to the Port board it was the weakest top 8 ever...yes ever. There was so much salt over there at the time, they could have opened a fish and chip shop.

Perhaps because he has no heart and doesn't want to give back to the community like Kochie does.
Seven Network salary man appears on Network Seven broadcast of carols....

The only community he is supporting are the Seven Network shareholders.

I got admit though, at times I wish I still had a child like naive view of the world like you do......

The delusion is strong over there. I remember reading something similar and many of them basically said the flag would've been theirs had they not played so badly. That's right. A team that didn't make the 8 believes they should've won the flag.
