[Punter!]

Not in the best 22 in the moment. trying him in some different positions in the VFL. But his future at Melbourne seems a bit in doubt considering he's a restricted free agent. I like Grimes and i'd like to think he still has potential to fill at us, but it seems doubtful

Funnily enough today is his birthday, just turned 27, 98 games under his belt.
I think he would have value at the trade table for you, or maybe a decent pick as a RFA.
It's pretty clear that with the players getting a game in front of him, he is unlikely to get a look in any time soon.
I think he could be real value to a club like Hawthorn, Sydney or Geelong looking for a half back flanker/rebounder. They all have history of topping up their list with middle aged players who seem to provide more in a team that is 'challenging'.
Would be good for his to play his 100th at the Dees for potential father son selections!

Yeah some of those on here love AVB (Tempy Tiger I think you're one of them), I rate him but we have pretty good depth on the midfield and flanks now, and if we don't shit the bed performance wise it'll be hard for guys to work their way back in.

Vandenberg is a gun and there's no way we'll trade him. He's a big bodied hard at it mid. Plenty of others can come off the list if that's what people are worried about: Grimes, Terlich, Dawes, Michie, Newton, JKH... Watch everyone change their tune about Vandenberg when he comes back injury free.

I will be shattered if we get rid of White. He could be our own Shannon Hurn. Great defender, good size, good toe and a weapon of a boot.

If somebody wants him, we'd probably be open to trading him for not a whole lot. We owe him that much.

I don't rate his kicking much but I wouldn't trade him. Be interesting to see if he can get back into the team when he comes back from his ankle.

Be interesting to see where we go with him. I'm not sure because he is out of contract, I haven't seen enough of him to make a call on his ability one way or another.

Grimes is a restricted free agent, if he wants to leave Melbourne won't match it. But yeah on 98 games, get him to 100 games at the club he supported as a kid. With his form and likely resting young players he'll get there.

He's a contested marking freak of nature!! He's also a back up ruckman that would allow Weid and Watts to be permeant KPF.

Right now I'd want P1 and their 1st selection next year. Trade P1 for Lobb and change plus still have 2 red 1 selections next year.

This threat doesn't really work if the Dockers just take him with the first pick in the ND (let alone the PSD, though that never happens).

Prestia hasn't been good in about two years and we have a surplus of midfielders with similar potential (plus output from a number of them). No point stacking our squad with the same type of player.

Missed most of last year with a knee but had a fantastic first 7 rounds and battling this year with shoulder injuries.

Has the runs on the board and when fully fit would easily be among our best midfielders. At only 23 he would be an ideal replacement for Vince too in a few years.

I assume Prestia will get over his knee troubles, but I'm really not sure we need him as much now due to the rapid development of our inside mids - and we still have Trenners, ANB, Vanders, Brayshaw etc waiting in the wings.

So as much as he's a quality player, I wouldn't want to spend big dollars and quality picks to get him anymore.

Would rather chase outside speed and footskills.

So that's 4 pretty good players who could come into the afl side in the inside role and only Jones and Vince coming to the end
Harmes Kent and Petracca are forward of Centre players so we will get plenty of goals aswell
Probably for the first time in a long time I'd love to see us grab a couple of X factor players in draft and see how we go developing them because we won't have trouble winning the footy

2 of our 3 best mids are closer to the end than the start, and there are still big question marks over the long term futures of Trengove, Vandenberg, ANB. Prestia would be a very valuable addition.

I think he'll stay, but if he was to go I'd ask for Freos 2016/2017 1st rounders and Weller. He is worth that easily.

I know from a good source that Weller isnt keen to leave Freo in the near future.

Not with the leg issues Fyfe has. Out for the season. I need to see him return before I would agree to that deal.
