Jordan Lewis will be a great addition for you guys. Give you a bloke that won it all and how to teach the younger kids to have the killer edge

Massive coup for the Dee's if what looks likely does in fact come to fruition.
Shoots yous into almost a lock for top 8, in my eyes, with everything going well of course.
Id love him at collingwood, he's versatile too. I've seen what he can do as a forward being a collingwood supporter i recall him kicking bags of 4 or 5 against us possibly a couple of times about 3 or so years ago.
I could also see him being a great back flanker. Only 30 could still have 3-4 years left.
What role would be playing at melbourne do you think? Would he be predominantly a mid ? Or spending more time off a flank and your younger fellas get 1st choice mid time?
Not for nothing i reckon he'll look great in the navy and red. Mass Upgrade on the piss & shit colours.

I could see Lewis, Dom Tyson and Petracca rotating through the forward line and midfield

Looking like Lewis to Melb will happen...

This is a nightmare..

I hate everything about Lewis. Riding in the coat tails of Mitchell, Hodge and co all the way to 4 flags.

Carries on like he was BOG in each of them.

If we trade a first or second rounder, I'll lose all faith.

Lewis just a dog sniper. King hit so many bloke I can't even remember them all. Goldie last year a disgrace.

You can tell he's an insecure arseh*le as well. King hits, pseudo tough guy attitude, bullying first year player, spray on hair etc

Puts in ZERO time in the gym as well. Too lazy.

Probably spends his time away from the club pumping his money into some shit business. Alcohol delivery or some shit.

I do wish you'd post more around here BS..

Funny stuff.

Some shitty Facebook page said we are into Rockliff.
I have no qualms about bringing a (allegedly) shit bloke into the club. He is a very good player.
I'd be more worried about what we'd have to pay in terms of a trade. Brisbane would want a first rounder minimum and we're not in a position to be able to trade one away.

Roos talked about this a lot. Having players who can basically coach themselves and others is crucial.
Good call does seem very roos esq to get him in. I don't mind the move depends on how much it cost. Maybe it depends on the Hibberd trade remember that guy. Maybe melbourne want to make sure they have a 2nd round pick this year and then are open to trade current picks.

Touchwood but it's pretty cool how so many players are leaving, or wanting to leave this trade period and not one is from us. Goodwin has a good base to work from.

A very good source tells me we are looking into him (this source predicted the Sam Mitchell thing a day before the media caught wind).

Didn't say we were crazy about him just that their is interest and we are enquiring.

The prize that Brisbane look like taking for him it could be worth it

A poster over on demonland has just posted that a handshake trade has been agreed to:

Brisbane give - Tom Rockliff, 2016 compo (currently p19), 2016 pick to be acquired from another trade (mid-30's)
Melbourne give - Lynden Dunn, 2017 1st pick, 2016 2nd (currently p29)

The poster's alluded to two sources which have since been named in the thread.

Would find that odd unless we know that Essendon will take 2017 2nd round pick for Hiibberd

From what I've gleaned we would then on trade 19 for Hibberd and a late pick to be used on Lewis, leaving our 1st pick this year as the mid-30's pick Brisbane are yet to receive.

You can either trade a future 1st rd, or future 2nd+ rounds but not both - if we trade our 2017 1st for Rockliff our other future picks cannot be traded.

If we pick Rockliff and Lewis up I hope Brayshaw and Oliver know they'll be playing for Casey all of 2017.
Rockliff would play forward if we picked him up, surely.

This just in: Melbourne somehow has a million second rounders, and they're all being traded.

You get a second rounder! And you get a second rounder!

One thing I like about Rockliff is that he averages 15 - 20 uncontested possessions a game. We have alot of players who can win the ball but not many that can get it on a string like this.

More like Bugg, Kennedy, Harmes

Most people don't have any of those three in their best 22.

I'd have no issue with Lewis if he knew he wasn't guaranteed a best 22 spot, but it looks like he will be. Three years is also too long for a guy who will be 31 in 2017.

Would assume that the last year of the contract offered to Lewis is optional based on performance - similar to Vince and Lumumba's deals.

Very tough to put together a 22 without at least two of those three, Melksham and Vandenberg.
