Here's the names been thrown around by us(supporters):
Joel Garner
Dylan Moore
Gryan Miers
The AFL/Cal Twomey don't even try....they just read Big Footy and copy the exact same things

In no particular order.

Ainsworth
Liam Ryan
Worpel
Tim Kelly

I like the idea of taking on a ready made/mature ager in this draft.

43,68 and 75, is where our recruiters can really shine.

From what I've read recently about over agers Im interested to see if there is any interest in..

Haiden Schloithe

Bayley Fritsch

Liam Ryan

Oskar Baker

All 4 would add something to the list & create some depth & insurance along with a little X factor IMO

I'm with you, except I like the look of Jordan Houlihan instead of Ainsworth if he happened to fall to us.
Also as a smokey, like the look of Oskar Baker, reminds me of right footed Issac Smith with his pace and run, but a little more raw...

TBH I have no idea. Never heard the name before. Just the description sounds very similar to Billy. What does Baker have that Billy didn't? Decision making skills?

Not sure on his decision making skills based on the very limited footage available that I have seen, but one thing he has Billy covered for is DIRECT RUNNING at the goals, and much more pace with that X factor about him, and loves a goal on the run, like Smith. The Afl site had a write up on him not that long ago, with big wraps on the kid..

Doesn't doubt himself like Hartung and always goes forward. Confident in his abilities, sometimes to his detriment. Reminds me of a raw Hilly. Probably has half the tank Hartung currently does but also doesn't mind the tough stuff. Would love as a late selection for outside depth but would take 2-3 years to mature.

FB: Birchall, Brand, Hardwick

HB: Stratton, Frawley, Sicily

C: Smith, O’Meara, Burton

HF: Breust, Gunston, Poppy

FF: Burgoyne, Roughead, Rioli

FOL: McEvoy, Mitchell, Shiels

Note: Burton to get more midfield time as noted by his starting position, but he will likely rotate through the forward and back line as well

We are likely to see young guys circulate through the interchange
  • Impey, Howe & O’Brien are locks if they maintain form
  • O’Rourke, Morrison, Glass, Lovell, Cousins and Hanrahan will all be competing for spots – getting games into these guys, to see who will be able to take it to another level, should be a priority
  • Langford, Duryea, Schoenmakers will likely be in and out of the side throughout the season

Just read that AFL/ Cal Twomey article about who will pick who. Omg what a load of BS. Not just the predictions but the way he writes about the players is just cringe.

Has polish. Has class. Has pace. Loves the contest. Good hands. Can play inside and outside.

Fairfax needs to bring back Emma Quayle to save us.

Am I correct in that Hawthorn has to indicate whether it is going to nominate F/S or academy players by Tuesday?

At this stage it seems unlikely we will nominate anyone but could be a strategic move to make other clubs think we are not interested maybe?

Yeah he looks very good doesn't he and KM on the drafts board has linked him to us.

Another mature ager (19) is Roughsedge.

Article on the AFL site about him yesterday. A very similar situation to Burton.
Very interesting.
