Worpel and now Mirra - we've brought in a couple of natural leaders.

Hoping Mirra can take over from Spanger as our new cult hero!
He is the epitome of mr 100% you won't get anything less everytime he takes the field. I really am so chuffed by this. Its just amazing

I really can’t understand the enthusiasm about getting Mirra. He is 26 a battler and won’t get a game in our backline.

So in summary we picked up players who have good endurance (elite for Jones and Moore), good over head, good tacklers and strong bodies. We seem to want a fleet of battering rams that can play forward to play in the centre along with some class outside. The lack of focus on kicking skills is very interesting although none look technically flawed.

I think we have addressed our contested possession problem now.

38 on senior now?

Started with 39.

Lost 5 - Hodge, Gibson, Willsmore (to rookie), Stewart, Hartung

Gained 4 - Worpel, Moore, Ross, Impey

Am I maths good?
this is what happens when i try to count pictures on mobile, do I have it right that we only have 46 on our list but room for a third cat b rookie?

mate I'm happy he's getting his shot, he's been a rock for Box Hill for years, even if he's just depth he's a mature body who knows the system

Even if Mirra doesn't get a game at AFL level he'll at least be getting paid a bit better for playing at the same level as he has been.

Claro and co were clearly aware of the large outflow of leadership skills and made it a priority this draft. With Mitch, Hodge, Lewis, Gibbo all leaving, and Burgoyne, Roughead, etc. likely going to go over the coming years, I think there was a larger focus on this element than normal. Hopefully we can take that attibute, add it to the desire to succeed, and come up with something special.

So we didn’t pick up a ruck - we are going into 2018 with just Ceglar and Mcevoy. Seems Risky to me.

I’m thinking they didn’t think there were other rucks on the market who were that much better than Pittonet as a backup. Plus they’ll want to start getting games into him.

Was talking to big budget Eastern league teams to gauge interest so your statement isn't so far off the mark.
