Ref gave a 2nd yellow to the Sorrento striker for diving, he had actually done his Achilles and went down because of that, rotten luck. It was already 2-0 and they were being outplayed but Jamie harnwell is well within his rights to go nuts over that decision.

Nick epifano was the star for south, 2 goals and had the ball on a string for most of the game. Can't read much into the result, Sorrento are not s very good side and would be battling relegation in Victoria.

Parts of the lakeside stadium pitch were waterlogged with passes actually getting stuck into the turf..especially down the wings, have never seen that before, atrocious weather in Melbourne today and that was reflected in the poor crowd.

Hopefully sm v A league club in the quarter final. We would want to avoid Heidelberg on current form, either way we may get them in the grand final in a few weeks.
