When buying for members ticket does it automatically allocate a Cats supporters area? Would obviously prefer to sit near other Cats fans.

That's what i thought happened. However, I purchased cats supporter area tickets and was surrounded by 90% tigers fans on Friday.

Anyone know if you will be able to add on tickets in the members allocation today due to the much lower demand??? We have got enough adult memberships for all the people in our group who want to go, but we have a child and concession included in this. Last week, because of the memberships being adult, we had to pay full price for the 14 and 16 year old, so it would be great if we could just use the memberships for the adult tickets and add on the child and concession like you can in the H&A season. Anyone know if this is possible this week?

By the looks of it you can buy 8 tickets per membership. But you can only buy 8 tickets at a time. That was on the email sent out by the club yesterday.

It was the loudest I've heard an AFL crowd since the 2007 prelim. They were rabid, and we crumbled.

I've been to a lot of games, i've been to a lot of games where the two fan groups have been a bit...aggressive towards each other, especially our games against Hawthorn. Having spent the night standing in the Southern Stand, i can safely say it was the worst experience i've ever had at the football. We were so out numbered by Richmond "fans" that they just felt so confident they could do and say anything and nothing would happen, which of course it didnt. I imagine the experience we had on Friday is what it'd be like to be an opposition fan watching your team at an away venue in the EPL. But atleast in the EPL, there is an effort to segregate the supporter groups, here we seem to find a sort of sadistic satisfaction in not doing that, and it results in a woeful experience if you're the outnumbered fan group.

I would hope some questions would be asked of the AFL about what exactly Geelongs incentive is now to finish top 2 because i cant see any. At the very least there should have been an opportunity for Geelong members and supporters to buy tickets before Richmond "fans", too avoid them buying in our area (as they were advised to do by the Richmond Football Club) and taking away seats from what was supposed to be the "home" teams fans. But this is the AFL, and they achieved what they wanted, which was to make as much money as they could from the game. So no questions will get asked, because who at the AFL cares if we got ****ed over in the process?

The volume isnt the issue. Scream, yell carry on as much as you want. It's the (constant) booing, swearing (yes hypocrite i know- but i dont swear ALL the time like they were apparently), and general intimidation and harrassment is what I ****ing get shitty about.

Even Collingwood fans arent/werent like they were.

Hand on my heart- never experienced that with Hawks fans either. EXCEPT one time in the MCC and i had to move seats it was that bad. Otherwise, nup, never had a problem.
