How else can I say it? the club have been told of his intentions for 6 weeks. Nothing to do with just before finals and nothing about disliking club. You seem to have different mail let's see. I'm a betting man if you're in?

He might have changed his mind, I just cannot see why he would inform the club he was leaving half way through the year.. Doesn't seem overly smart by himself or his management

I'm not sure, but making no judgements as to what will happen yet (although somewhat pessimistic as we draw closer to season's end). However, I would have thought if he had told the club he was leaving that Dev Smith & Matty Kennedy would have been promptly re-signed.

From what I hear Dev Smith has a pretty big offer from Geelong that might stop him from signing with GWS anyway. He has a house down there, Not saying that he is definitely leaving just think that while all the spotlight has been on kelly it hasn't occurred to the media that some of the other players might want to go home too..

Am I the only one who noticed that Leon's comments about Kelly staying sounded a bit less confident than his statements about Treloar staying?

Leon has always sounded confident when it comes to retaining players etc McCarthy, Boyd, Treloar but of course as a coach he is going to have to say that. Still think he will be staying..

Why should the talk worry you? you said you knew he was staying. What is it you know or just the "talk". The "talk" is no concern to me as I know what is happening he is 100% moving home the only question is which club and he will not be screwing us in any deal.

I'm not worried at all, I would just hate to see a really good kid get lies made up about him, If your source ends up being correct then I'll be the 1st to admit I'm wrong. Just really cannot see him leaving... From what I've heard he was looking at buying a house in sydney, Would be a complete back flip to come home now..

Kelly was never going to North, North knew that a month ago & that's why they upped the offer to Dusty. Still 100% Kelly is staying but Mick Warner isn't a credible source.

Josh has not spoken to any other club. Connors won't let him.

Josh has not made up his mind yet, and his message to Josh is "you have time"

Connors likes his players to stay at their club and premierships are more important than money.

Ok, so that takes care of the money. Who is offering what.

What does the coach see as his role in the team? What is the direction of the club? How are the facilities? What are the assistant/line coaches like? What kind of relationship will he have with the director of footballs operations? The CEO? The President? The receptionist?

Who are these people? I'll be spending the next decade there, it would be nice to maybe have a look around and maybe speak to somebody first. Try to get a feel is you're a good fit.

So Connors has passed on what his weekly pay check will be. Woopdie-Doo we all know that already, but That, my friend, is only a very small part of a decision to be made and talking to people is the best way to find out the rest. I'm about to leave my mates and a big chance at success, I'd like to know where I'm going and what it's going to be like. Being told what'll be in my bank account doesn't do that for me.

While I tend to agree that all managers are weasels, at least he's not Liam Pickering or that dog of an a$$hole who is managing Cam McCarthy.
