You were obviously out sniffing the roses this morning, I really hope this fairy tale comes true too, we're in Gold Coast suns new franchise territory with all the chops to the list over the last few years - but minus all the concessions they had, fingers crossed our boat doesn't sink too. So we currently have the highest number of list changes out of any club this off-season with 13.
I'd imagine we'd have the highest number going back over a 3-5 year period as well.

I say Doc goes mid and forward of centre or at least rotates based off the momentum of the game. We have plenty of backline talent and depth, not enough midfield talent. Doc needs to step up and fill the Gibbs void.

We are just repeating what Bolton has been saying since the end of the season, that Docherty will player more in the midfield in 2018. Not full time but more.

If you are thinking of Liam Ryan at 73, I have it on pretty good authority he has told non WA clubs of his desire to stay in Perth and is a massive flight risk.

Plus the stories going around about him missing training I think it might be best to leave him where he is

I still stick by my statement we are 5 years away, that's not necessarily a bad thing, year 1 we are on a merry go round, year 2 it's like a gravatron by year 5 we are on the Green lantern at movie world!
At the moment we are definitely at the merry go round stage it's constantly stopping and changing people. The Green lantern is 5 years away, meanwhile enjoy the ride! Hope you enjoy my analogy!

lol fair enough, I believe we are closer than that, maybe we are somewhere in between, time will tell. One thing is for certain and that is that when we get towards the top we will be an unbelievable force!

Doc is AA HBF - FFS just leave him there and if we need MIDS - SOS should go and recruit some!!!

What you are promoting is just ridiculous.

Sure play Doc in the middle in an emergency - but when he was played as a MID last year he was terrible and so was our defence.

He was average in the middle, not terrible.

He was average because they threw him in there adhoc. A full preseason working as a midfielder, learning tap zones, running patterns etc and he will become a general in the midfield. Generals in the midfield are hens teeth.

What would I prefer a general in the midfield or across halfback? Midfield.

Docherty can be as good a midfielder as Rory Sloane. If only it was that easy to 'recruit!!!!!' a player the calibre of Sloane.
