In a similiar vein, let's draw out what our current list projects to be at the start of the 2020 season:

Based on my version of our current Best 22

So we obviously need to be prepared to fill Simpson/Murphy/Kreuzer/Wright/Casboult and Ed Curnow's positions.

For the most part that is about drafting midfielders and projecting McKay as a key forward.

If we went:

Pick 3 - Rayner
Pick 10 - Constable
Pick 30 - Moore

We could end up with:

Definitely.

Trying to play on the pessimistic side.

Best to plan for a likely worst outcome than a likely good outcome.

Undersized, lacks x-factor or explosiveness. However, is very low maintenance, relentless worker, humble, competitive. Might not quite have the raw tools, but will not die wondering or leave any stone unturned to make it. Unlikely to disappoint.

Second issue what pressure acts will he commit to too keep the ball in our forward line?

Do not see it. Injury been his only real challenge but he is nimble enough and smart enough even if lost a small amount of pace in coming years. The smart classy players adjust as they lose a little pace. He has enough nous to work around it up forward as he gets past 30.

You are right, 50 is a lot for small forward in today's football but think he has that ability.

Nope. Still very quick especially over 20 metres. Clever around goals. 30 plus goals easily

Got his sidestep back this year too. I reckon 30ish and 16-18 touches would be a good outcome if he was played forward.

Yeah, people underestimate the value of players that got the nous to know when to sidestep. When losing a touch of pace in time it becomes another weapon to have in the kit bag and use more.
