Not sure about a small forward who can't tackle

30 is a lot different to 50 thoughNope. Still very quick especially over 20 metres. Clever around goals. 30 plus goals easily
Yep. it takes longer to recover.30 is a lot different to 50 though

Rose tinted glasses ?Depends if he played permantly forward. If so 50 is close. Still think he will spend most time in the middle especially with Gibbs gone
Rose tinted glasses ?
Toby green would play a similar position that’s proposed and he ended up with 45 in a superior team
There is no chance Murphy would get bear 50 in a season but if played in position all year
Was definitely the shoulder but was a typical early teens injury whilst trying to discover himself.I heard Tom has done his shoulder playing on the monkey bars.
You do know the process comes before the winning, don't you?I actually see wins important this year! I don’t expect finals but I’m hoping for 7-10 wins. Need to start building a winning culture
So we’re just catching the horse and looking on eBay for a cart ?You do know the process comes before the winning, don't you?![]()
Any love on here for ex-blue Blaine Johnson. I thought the kid was pretty solid when here just didn’t get a run after starting as a rookie. Now 22yrs - 187cm - kicked 59 goals in the WAFL. Plays as a medium sized lead up forward. I’d take another shot. Not the worst option IMO and we do have some roster spots to fill.
Surprised no-one has picked up Tom Bell either, just saying.
Didn’t we give Cachia 2 shots at it?I doubt SOS would go back to the same well, but the W.A. teams would possibly have some interest in him as a rookie.
I thought Holman may get a look in last year also, but when you're burnt, it's not easy getting back into the system,
And we learnt from the mistake.Didn’t we give Cachia 2 shots at it?

I’m feeling ya Harks. Of that list of 42 posted by the AFL he was the one that stuck out to me TBH. Did SOS dump Johnson, have anything to do with him?SOS didn't.
It's just not easy getting a repreive after being de-listed, but Blaine seems to have a chance.
Yeah I get that, but Johnson was only young when we let him go. He’s still only 22 and plays a position of need IMO. I feel we get the ball enough, but don’t finish it. 59 goals in a good quality league deserves a second chance IMO. He’s also known, which makes a bit of difference also. Anyway, I would. And we learnt from the mistake.
Sorry for hogging the thread, but I actually debate this. He’s a tweener to use a NBA term. He’s a burst forward at South Fremantle and they have a couple of others in Kelly and Schloithe I’m sure we are looking at, so SOS will have seen a bit of him. Kicked 9 in one game.Blaine's main problem is that he's reasonably slow. Hard to make it at AFL level as a small/medium forward without pace.
He was slow, and he's still slow. I've seen 20+ games from him over the years on top of his WAFL clips and he really cannot keep up.Sorry for hogging the thread, but I actually debate this. SOS didn't.

Agree with this, but I think he would look alright in a forward line where the ball is coming in quickly & accurately. Blaine unfortunately was at Carlton at a time when the ball used to take eons to get into our forward line & would come in haphazardly.Blaine's main problem is that he's reasonably slow. Hard to make it at AFL level as a small/medium forward without pace.
ADidn’t we give Cachia 2 shots at it?
Salary has very little to no calories in itI'd take him for a year. Buy the kids a bit more time. We have salary to burn.
