Too much hoping for Kerr and a few others, that we don't even have yet. (BSilvagni and possibly TLynch.....although we may drop off our interest there)
They may well make it, but we know that all won't and even though we know that forward-lines, as well as back-lines can be fluid by make-up, there should be a starting, staple, six.

Anything can happen and probably will, but I can see our back-line not losing much with Weitering not being there.
Long way to go, but a, ........Byrne Jones Plowman
..................................Docherty Marchbank Williamson/Mullett/Macreadie/???????..............could see us through for years to come.

We can only wait and see, but I don't think we'll have anything set in stone for a year or two yet.

There is something about Kerr that makes me think he will make it. Not sure how, maybe it won't be with the blues.. But he has something.

And guess what, same forward line coach, see how he goes about it at CFC but we have the cattle to replicate (talls anyway)

I can see Bolton taking teague aside after we kick 100 points

"this isn't about kicking goals, it's about the green shoots, consistency, emotional nourishment"

Weiters has two weaknesses: lack of aggression and lack of speed.

These can be exposed at both ends of the ground. However, I see his best role as an intercept marking defender with no immediate man to run with. TMac did a number on him during the Melbourne game. Could not go with him 1 v 1. On the flip side, he doesn't have the speed to lead a defender to the ball up forward.

The kid isn't perfect, I've been very hard on him this year but I feel like he will make it as a player and a very good one.

I disagree. Weiters wasn’t right most of last year that impacted his speed and mobility.

He isn’t the quickest guy going around I agree, but he isn’t a turtle either. His biggest asset is his endurance to run his opponent into the ground.

A full pre-season learning to work with his changing body shape will make a huge difference.

He has a chance as much as anyone else has and it's form first that brings his name to the selection table, but then there's also opportunity.
I just wonder how many talls we will be able to carry at any one time, next year.

We could well have one of the tallest VFL sides going around, yet be short of mids, as was largely the case this year.
Kerr could be playing 8/10 games and not get the chance if McKay, JSilvagni, CCurnow and then Casboult are performing and developing, yet a mid could be pushing out 6/10 games and get a senior call-up.

The AFL website updated the draft order on Thursday and they are still saying we have 6 picks. 3. 10. 30. 72, 95 and 96.
I assume we may pick up a DFA with one of the later picks.

That maybe the case but doesn't mean we will use them all.
We may pick up a player in the PSD and the rest most likely will be rookie picks.

In last year's draft, only 77 picks were used in total.
