Weitering is the best of the lot and a future Hall of Fame defender and people want him forward or on the wing. Leave the kid where he is best suited. Took him long enough to recover from playing forward this year. He wasn't picked No. 1 to be a gap filler
I don't think you can attribute JW's form slump to his positional change. Early season injuries had a big influence on his form.
Against Richmond he dominated Rance. Against Sydney he played a perfect CHF role on 1 leg.
He's a smart footballer and has the ability to dominate both ends of the ground! Imagine him receiving lace out passes from a full strength midfield.
