As for needs I'd say he fits the bill as much as anyone else, given that we need KPF and KPD players and there are none in this draft worth using pick 6 on.

That's because his highlights are as good as anyone's. But they don't show him kicking on his right or under pressure.

I guess I'll take your word for it as you know your stuff. I really just wish we had that second round selection, although he'd probably land between our picks anyway.

If we had say #15 I would love to take him. But he's just got a few things that don't make him that high R1 pick. I would say that's exactly where he starts. When running off half-back and along the wing is when he's most dangerous.

I’d be ok with drafting him if we had two picks in the late first round but to me he just doesn’t seem like he’ll be A+ and that’s what we should really be looking for with our pick 6.

Yep. Difference being that Richards bleeds black and white. Even got permission to play for Oakleigh on his week off this year so he could fulfil a dream of playing on Vic Park.

He played at Victoria Park as a 16yo in my son’s colts team after his dad Kane wrote an impassioned plea to me(Team mgr) to ask him to be included in the team as he was scheduled to be rostered off that week. This was in 2016.

Very highly rated over here in WA, a few of the local radio stations giving him big wraps. Both WA team are interested if 6pr (3AW's sister station) are anything to go by.
