Mate I hope they become brilliant all of em.. but I'm not gonna friggen pretend I'm rapped with a cricketer converted to an AFL footballer cause he played well for his high school.

In your gut if you feel happy.. good for you.. I doubt the majority of us are any where near happy with these selections.

I'm seriously fed up with the father son romanticism we seem to give precedence too over picking what we really need. What is the value of Tyler Brown in a chocka block midfield.. do we have to feed every relative gelati do we. Unbelievable seriously!
When is The Chief cancelling your account?

Well there was no Real KPP Standout at Pick 6 and all the other Talls went in the 2nd Round. Can Only Pick what is there

I'd argue that Naughton would have been a fine selection at 6 as a guy who has played senior football and can anchor a team for the next decade. Who's selection might have meant that Moore wasn't thrown into the backline and leaving... Reid (maybe?) as the sole target up forward. I'd also argue that there was talent remaining in the draft that we could have looked at instead of Murphy, or taken with a later selection. But that's not the point I'm trying to make.

We have significantly ignored this developing hole in our list over the past 4 seasons. We have traded in guys to fill areas where we are already bursting at the seams. And now we are putting our faith in a bloke up north to select us in free agency, as if this will be the panacea to all our problems. It's nuts.

Hopefully soon.. go and lick the same tasting gelati everyone eats on here.. and pretend you like it bro. Even though it's not your flavour.
He must be too busy.

The lack of KPPs is still an ongoing concern, but I think the club will do everything in its power to get Tom Lynch at the end of next year.

Stephenson sounds like a good player, and most are describing Murphy as a bargain. Lovely to see another Brown in the black and white.

Wreaks of autocratic rule. Can't agree with you more.

Can't say I completely understand the logic behind our draft and trade period and it looks like we've completely ignored the glaring deficiencies on our list.

Ruckmen: Grundy (23 y/o, Cox (26 y/o)
Key Defenders: Dunn (30 y/o), Reid (28 y/o), McLarty (19 y/o)
Key Forwards: Moore (21 y/o)

What a mess.

I sincerely hope that all of tonights draftee's have amazing and successful careers, but this is ridiculous.
Not arguing that we don’t need more KPP, because we do, but you’ve ommitted a couple of names there. Goldsack played as CHB all year and did a good job of it. Lynch is our 3rd ruckman in the list so we’re well stocked at least in that area. Our major issue is genuine key forwards. Reid and Cox can both play there, but it seems we’re going to be experiencing the same thing we did this year in 2018 in regards to our KPP, and they’re all another year older. I hope we have a KPD in mind to recruit in addition to Lynch next year...

Fair call on Goldy, he did a stellar job this past season. But at 30, he's up against it to continue that vein of form. And in truth, the Ruck department doesn't worry me unless Grundy decides he's had enough. I just can't see the logic in relying on Reid and Cox to hold down key positions for a full season. It's the lack of long term planning Apex that leaves me scratching my head...

We're in a rough spot for next season I feel. Too good with a weak draw to be completely rubbish, not good enough to make an impact. No mans land.

Absolutely loved it tonight. Thought we could have used our fourth on a KPP but I'm guessing we're going tall in the rookie aside from Oxley. Really pleased Murph slid so all in all some players with high upside.
What makes Murphy special

He must be too busy.
Dunn is a dud
Reid plays half a season
McLarty hasn't played as yet

We needed a Naughton down there.. and we opt for Stephenson.. ok fair enough.. looks the goods right.. come pick 39.. what do we do.. get a cricketer well have to develop in the vfl.

Then we go for Tyler.

I mean what are we thinking.. I'm not happy mate.. not sad.. not anything.. I'm erghhhh ok. Here we go again.

I don't understand the excitement some have over a draft that really makes no sense to me given our predicament.

We are going small and mobile. Pies will tear it up next season. My advice is don’t cancel your account. It’s going to be mad

Credibility zero after writing this statement.

For the most part I agree, but let’s say this is hypothetically the case;
Ruck: We rate Lynch and feel comfortable enough with Cox as our #2.
KPD: We take Sam Collins as a rookie before the Saints, and simply didn’t rate the key defenders after Naughton.
KPF: We have an in-principle agreement with Tom Lynch for 2019 and beyond.

Would that make you feel any better?

Richmond won a flag with one key forward. With Elliott, Fasolo, Hoskin -Elliott, DeGoey and possibly Kirby/Daicos and Stephenson up forward we can kick a winning score with the amount of service our midfield provides. Cox and Grundy both looked good up forward in the last couple of games and they are capable of kicking a goal or two whenever they are played there.

I'd be reasonably pleased with that! I'm pretty happy with our haul tonight, bullish about Murphy as he has kicking skills so already got the jump on half the list!

With my black and white glasses on I'd like to think they must be pretty confident on Lynch
