The AFL media have certain designated fapping players. The designated fappees will always be talked up ahead of non-fappees despite similar performances. Rance has been on the fap list for a number of years now - I rate him, but the amount of praise he gets is all out of proportion to his actual stature in the sport.

Geelong coming off a 6 day break and Portcoming off a 'weeks' break (minus China recovery and the Shanghi sh!ts)

2 years ago teams coming off the bye lost at about 80% from memory but last year the middle of the season bye win/loss ratio was better. In the finals however the bye proved to be terrible.

Yup. There's absolutely no evidence to suggest a bye results in better performance week after. There does appear to be some correlation between a bye and a poor game the following week. Sample size still fairly small though and very hard to make a case for it without factoring in strength of opposition.

Danger definitely gets the captaincy. Rioli a certainty to join Betts up forward.

I definitely agree.

Rance will often not play on the best forward, he seems to be at his best when he is played on a poorer opponent where he can run off them and become a spare in the backline.

I have never been that impressed with Rance when he's forced to go one on one against a decent forward.

I mean, Cloke kicked 7 on him once! lol
