Freo will need to probably kick their highest score of the year to beat us next week
I can't see it happening
They (Freo) might not score big, but they play with heart every week. No easy game for Adelaide next week.

Expect Ballantyne to be around the mark for next week having played WAFL
And reportedly very ordinary in a Peel Thunder side that absolutely dominated the Perth Demons 123 - 33. interestingly SA draftee Brennan Cox had an enormous game in the same game.

I hope Ballantyne plays, I reckon he's cooked
Done a hamstring, so he is flambayed...not just cooked, probably boiled or flambayed

Lyon is also capable of getting them to play a tight, hard game with a very strong midfield. Will be happy just to win. Fremantle are rising
A football tradition, exclusive to Bigfooty.Signpost Week!
You're a nutter
The battle will be:
Jacobs, Sloane, Crouch, Crouch, Douglas, Smith
vs
Sandi, Fyfe, Mundy, Neale, Hill, Hill
Break even through the midfield, we will outclass them elsewhere. Play smart when kicking forwards, watch their outside pace.
Might be easier to win playing the Freo Port played. But in terms of development and fixing some major flaws in our system and method we need to face the Freo of the last few weeks.Hopefully freo bring every defencive trick in the book and pressure us like there's no tomorrow. How else will we get better at it?
That's why all the talk about their season being done at 0-6 was such an over reaction. Fortunes can change on a dime this year, especially a team filled with Sydney's quality. This year is so even that teams could scrape into the 8 with fewer wins than normal. Percentage will be huge, and Sydney are already back above 100 while only being 3-6.Sydney primed to make the 8 now. They have the Hawks twice, saints, Carlton, Essendon, freo, suns and bombers at home as well as the hapless dees and Richmond at the mcg

Apart from their first 2 games, they've been very good. That moment when you realise Freo are 5th on the ladder.

Freo best second half team in the comp and like us get off to slow starts. Should be really interesting.
Smashed them last year at Subi (game where we were late for the plane and sang the song in record time)
Beat them by 33 at home too
But they were shit last year. Had some good tussles with them no doubt
My Fave Freo memory? Keeping them to 1 goal for a whole game.... then the guy who kicked their only goal was dropped the following week!
Geelong need the win more than we need to see Port lose for troll value. I expect Port to get soundly beaten. Now, Danger and Geelong, you have one job...................
Me either. They will stick 2 behind to clog up the corridor and our forward 50 and then hope their much bigger bodied midfield gets them enough of the ball, which it probably will, to counterpunch some goals.Apart from their first 2 games, they've been very good.
I'm not confident at all this week.

We desperately need a fast start and get scoreboard pressure to make them open the game up and give us space. Otherwise it will be a 2 hour shitfight like the Melbourne game.

A Crows-fast-start is a bit of an oxymoron though.Agree
Freo's strength is their midfield in particularly their inside work however they can burn the ball. Both ends of the ground will be their challenge as they have been wimning ugly with moderate scores and have been struggling to kick 100 pts a game
A fast start by us and Freo will struggle to play catch up and kick a winning score
