Hird may have made bad decisions, we all make bad decisions from time to time; whatever his role in the essendon scandal has no bearing on the basic human empathy that situations like this call upon
I'm all for holding him accountable personally and professionally, but am angrily against suggesting anything in the line of blame or that he doesn't deserve sympathy in what are clearly very dark days
He's been a golden child for a long time, and he's sadly reached a bad place. There is nothing to rejoice in here. At all.
