Its why some coaches are better than others. 80% cattle, 20% getting players motivated.

None of it has seemingly worked.
So it's on the players.

Wrong. Scott has said that it is a problem. They've tried several different approaches yet it remains a problem.

So he's not just not good at getting the players up and about then.

Don't go on holiday mode then. No need to go to America to watch NBA finals etc. No other team has ever pulled that s**t

I did rate the Dogs, but they need to get their act together soon.

Shouldn't need to be, they all waffle on about how winning flags is the pinnacle blah blah blah.
Yet they need a coach to pep them up, cop out on the players.

Otherwise why have a coach, why have sport psychologists.

Every single one of the players who played under those coaches have said they got them up about in finals.
Coaches need the cattle but they also make the difference.
Eg Blight * ups in 94 training hard in a bog track & 92 Baurstow on Matera.
Collingwood training too hard after drawn granny against Norf etc etc
