Are you guys showing any interest in Gaff?

I've not heard anything at all on Gaff... some posters have mentioned him but I think that's just wishlist stuff.

I really hate when opposition mods come onto our board just to troll, how you would like if it I came to your board and trolled? Hmm?

I wouldn't like it at all.

Consider yourself warned. Otherwise I'll show up and link you to signing Chris Masten.

This is what I would love to see.

Out: Masten + 2018 2nd rounder + pick 67
In: 24 + 37

essentially masten + 68 for 37 and our 2018 2nd rounder for 24

Then trade 48 to North for Mountford

Leave us with:
13, 24, 30, 37, 85

Then trade with Lions

24 + 30 for 18 and 41

Outcome -->
In: 13, 18, 37, 41, 85 + Mountford
Out: masten + 2018 2nd round pick.

make it happen vozzo.

I really like it. We could then offer 37 for Fasolo or better yet, keep it and 41 for Kelly and Ryan.

Would someone give us pick 24 for our 2018 second rounder? They'd essentially be betting that either we'd finish in the bottom six next year or that the draft would be significantly deeper.

Early word is that next year's draft is stronger. Then when you consider GC have pick pick 2, 21, 22, 24, 34, 37. And throw in the fact that eagles look to be on thier way down, it's actually a decent trade for a team like gold coast.

The draft certainly appears to be deeper this year. There seems to be a negative perception of our chances next year. So if we teams are convinced we will regress (so a second rounder better than #30), then they may think the jump down of a handful of spots at most from #24 in a draft that is meant to be stronger is worth it. I think we are specifically talking about the Suns here too, and from memory they have quite a few picks in the top 30 so spreading them out into the following draft may be desirable.

I'm not saying they will accept but we could make the pitch.

This seems very complicated. Needs to be simple.

If you were Vozzo and sitting at the trade table, what pick in the national draft is too low for off-loading Masten?

i think vozzo would want a pick in the 30s. Rosa went for 31 in probably a similar rated draft (and was also on fringes in his last year with us) and although we've clearly had enough of masten, i think he adds some value to a list like GC.

The biggest hurdle with masten is getting him to agree to leave.

Whats masten going to do for a living without footy?

Barista?

Other hipster job?

Artisan pube weaver

Hell take a couple a hundred a year rather than minimum wage plus tips.

Going into "pedant /comic geek mode" ! I think that you are confusing "Nite Owl" ("Watchmen") with "Owlman" (Crime Syndicate, Earth 3).
No, I knew the Owl Man was not in Watchmen, but I preferred Ozymandias... AFL would just keep adding rules to keep Batman outta the game - no belts, no cars, no jet packs... Ozymandias tho, he'd take control of the AFL, secretly! Then you'd see a day where the AFL logo was changes to "OZY"! Go ahead bro, let the thought marinate right there - you know it makes sense!
