I think we got suckered into the intercept marking fad which is around at the moment. In a team deficient speed and skills on the outside, he should've been groomed in that direction. I agree, another poor example of player development.It's a worry Falco.
Another example of poor player development at East Perth.
When I watched him at Eagles training early in the year , they had him doing lots of run throughs from the wing bouncing the ball and then shooting for goal from the 45 / 50 mark...... he didn't miss to many .
I thought this was an indication that we may be grooming him as an attacking wingman...... alas it was not to be.
I see him long term as being a great option on the wing.
I hope we see him developed towards an aggressive wingman role next year, he has the skill set for it.
