Will be good to see Sam Mitchell coach that long hand pass of his

Wasn't the word on the streets last year that Gaff wanted a longer contract but due to player negotiations and the potential salary cap, the two parties settled on 2 years with a third year as a trigger?

Something seriously must have gone wrong this year if he wants out. I wouldn't trade Gaff unless we get something close to overs for him and might as well risk losing him to FA. I think Gaff can even be convinced to stay as he has on numerous occasions said he loves Perth and the footy club. Gaff is a gun when fit and gets a ton of Flack from here but him and shuey along with NN are our midfield barometer.

I understand we need to strengthen our contested side of our game but i also value a balanced midfeild and losing Gaff would hurt cause we don't have quality outside players and Gaff when fit and in Form is one of the best wingmen in the comp.

Yeah from all the talk about it I can't see Gaff leaving tbh

We'd be stupid to let him lose. We seem to have been conservative on certain players that could have been moved on and we have to be conservative with him as well. That said some club throws an insane offer.

Can imagine our boys planting this for shits and gigs and are sitting around laughing together.

Wouldn't consider it unless it was an absolute top deal, like the pick 7/8 and Acres one I saw floating around, which won't happen. Need to keep our half decent mids. No point trading one out for another, just because they are a different type in my opinion, unless it is somehow a steal.

Haha. I know that's partially tongue in cheek but it won't be that bad.

Ah Chee for peanuts is a reasonable pick up as a ready made option that does have at least some upside. He will fill one midfield spot, the other will be rotated through with younger guys like Venables, Partington and Snadden.

Couldn't give a shit about Hartung or Stratton. I'd go after Mountford as another cheap option with some upside and I'd consider Fasolo at the right price.

The lack of delistings have been concerning.
Seriously?

We're not expecting any until after the trade period, as has been mentioned 124238401983 times. The only players who aren't contracted and haven't retired are Wellingham, Hill and Lamb. Their fate will be decided on after the trade period.

We have lost Priddis, Mitchell, Butler, Petrie, Giles and Brophy already

Any particular reason why Ah Chee can't get a game with Port?

Boak, Wines and now SPP now ahead of him for the inside mid role.

Seems to be just on the fringe but cant get a run at it.

More than happy to give him a contract and a crack. He may turn into a handy player and if Gold Coast cant get their act together his bro would make a great Le cras replacement.

ports over abundance of inside mids . Kills it in the sanfl on ball then gets bought into the power and played on the HFF .
He has some serious upside and weapons at his disposal . His handballs have so much power , bustling powerful build and uses it. Great set shot and mark for his size .
Just needs to put it all together and get a good run at an on ball position .
He is also only 23 and was always going to be a project player needing development .

ah chee is 24 ish never really settled into their seniors. A lot of mids like him would have got the chop earlier. id rookie him and thats bout it. he'd be play a few games but id seriously doubt he'd cement a spot.

Personally, the acquisition of Ah chee is exciting getting Kane Lucas or Cale Morton.

5 years on a list and barely cemented his spot. Has a few nice attributes but the fact that he ain't a big ball winner is a bit concerning for an inside mid.

At best i see him as a big bodies defensive mid that can go replace Hutchings and is better suited to tag blokes like fyfe, bont and cripps.

Gets plenty of the ball in the sanfl as an inside mid . Just doesn't play inside mid for power

It sounds like you guys are trying to talk me into the next Kane Lucas :D
On a side note the Sanfl website is horrendous.

fair enough but can he translate it at AFL level. If we are gonna be rubbish, id rather us be rubbish by blooding the youth we have in the guts, over some recycled player.
