Hearing O'Brien really likes Andrew Brayshaw for our first if available.
I dont think he would last to pick 13
Hunter Clark would be a good pick at 13 he has a lot we can work with as a player,
and i love his hardness and tackling.
Pick 30 has got to be Tim Kelly he will be best 18 and play in the centre next year.
If we can get those two trade of Masten and Schofield, we really need to move on Masten even though he's
contracted to 2019.

Then pick up Fasolo and Ah Chee.
Also hearing if we get Andrew Brayshaw likely to draft his older brother Hamish as a rookie who plays as a high forward similar to Fasolo

Then get Liam Ryan, Ninyette, Schloithe and Hamish Brayshaw as rookies/late picks would be very happy

That would cover our bases then in other drafts look to getting a tall forward.

Obviously our midfield is the priority but..... depending on the price, I think we should seriously consider Nathan Wilson from GWS. His run and long kicks are something we need out of the backline. His kicking rivals Hurn except he is more attacking and plays-on more. Hurn will be gone in a few years time anyway.

I think it all depends on the midfield plans for Yeo and Duggan. Other than Hurn, if Yeo and Duggan move to the midfield full time then who else do we have as rebounding defenders? Shep is OK sometimes but lacks composure with the ball most of the time. Cole and Nelson are unproven and I have my doubts about their ability to accumulate possession and have enough composure with the ball to make it as rebounding defenders.

Who knows what's happening with Wellingham. On our list at the moment, the only other possibility I see is playing Jetta in backline. Has this been tried much throughout his career?

Yeo and Duggan have had career best years in the backline I would like to keep them there and rotate them midfield rather than full time mids .
Wilson would be nice but I feel like we should be using all our assets to get genuine mids .

All well and good, but assuming we wouldn't have to use Pick 13, what genuine mids could we get with what Wilson would cost?

We could pull it off if we are aggressive in trading up our latter picks. Go all out. Wilson2Kelly

On Twitter yesterday that Ah Chee likely to WCE ...Obeanie 1 you gotta keep up , too much time on crazytrade.com

What crazy trades?

I get interested this time of year sure but I dont believe I suggest crazy trades and keep it within the relms of posibility. Its just that with say six reasonably possible trades the planets only line up for one or possibly two that actually occur.

Wilson would cost more than our pick 30 . Gws have a lack of picks this year and will play hard ball for a.contracted Wilson .

How would we trade up our later picks ?

Wasn't Rockliff the lad that had a sook on Twitter and had a crack at players leaving the Lions such as Yeo?
He was,the Irishman Hanley bagged them as well calling one of them a mummy's boy, then he left brissie for gold coast a year or 2 later

Yes I suppose there are many trades that are thrown up this time of year ...not having a go or anything .

On the Draft and Trading board a supporter reckons Saints have offered Eagles pick 7 and Acres for Andrew Gaff whereby Eagles knocked it back and Acres then re -signed with the Saints. I found that one staggering for a while then realised maybe Acres aint that good .

I'd offer 30 and a future 2nd for Wilson.

Then upgrade a third rounder into the second to get Kelly.

So easy in theory. :)

Upgrading picks sounds great but its not an easy thing to do. No team is going to easily give up a pick to downgrade even if they get 2 in return.

I agree. I would like them to stay in the backline but unless we find some decent midfielders they will continue to be pushed into the midfield which is our greatest weakness. I think Yeo's form in particular dropped off when he changed roles this year.

How would you upgrade our pick ?

say masten and a 3rd for a second ?

We then create another list spot but with no extra pick .

We have 5 senior list spots to fill without including masten schofield wellingham hill as outs

In Ahchee pick 66
Wilson 30 + future 2nd
leaves us 13 48 84 and masten schofield wellingham hill all on the list .

Say we upgrade 48 to 30s pick using masten we would then have 13 30ish 84 and 102 to use and hill wellingham schofield on the list .

Our midfield doesn't get the boost we need

As much as it isn't a huge thing, it's would be nice to have another set of brothers at the club. Could potentially lure Angus later on as well.

Angus is one or two more concussions away from retirement.

My scenario is different because I'd be trading Gaff.

From what I read in the media Wilson is pretty much at Freo now

He'd be cheap n that case if he does come out and says he wants join his brothers.

He's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Would be surprised if any other clubs go near him.

Ditto Paddy McCartin

Sad to see such young players careers ruined that way.

What ever we do, we need to become a hard running side next season. Get rid of one more tall and all the shitty endurance players need to work on their fitness. Would love a handful of our mids/flabkers to join gaff in distance covered and repeat sprints.
