Lucky pricks get another home game... might be the difference between a home final or not, or playing finals at all...
Nothing warms my belly more than the possibility of a home night final with that thing glowing bright purple

Yep just about the toughest possible in our group. Still, silver lining if we go down in a couple of those is a nice draft next year. I'd still like to see a definitive upswing though.
You guys are probably right but it feels like we're being given the shaft. What's the point of a equalising draw if 2 years in a row a bottom 6 team (us) can get arguably top 3 hardest draws
Getting the two hardest middle teams is partially offset by our top 6 team being the Eagles. They could be seriously average next year.

Collingwood I think will be tough for bottom 6 too. They are not that bad and also the sort of team that could have it all "click" and suddenly be good.

we always get essendon and carlton at etihad, being here living in melbourne 6 years and havent seen freo v carlton at the mcg or freo v essendon at the mcg. Wont happen.

Should have explained better, I spent a fair few years in Melbourne watching freo games at Etihad also.

Based on below, we have minimum the Pies game at MCG. Leaving Dees (Darwin?), Hawks (Launceston?), And Tigers as potential MCG. Hoping for min 2 maybe 3 MCG.

Freo Double up games:

Top6 [x1 - West Coast ]
Mid 6 [x 2 essendon , Port Adelaide]
Bottom 6 [x 2 Carlton, Pies]

Lastly, Freo get the round 5 ANZAC day game at the new stadium, as per our tradition with the Len Hall game.

This is what you said... how can we possibly get Round 5 game at New Stadium with the Len Hall game in Round 5 for Anzac Tradition and get a Home Game in Round 6 for the derby.

Don’t worry, it evens out the the second half of the season when we play back to back away games. We still only get 11 homes, plus the away derby and now the Gold Coast round 2 game.

We had back to back home games in rounds 17 and 18 last season.

17 was the Derby. If the back to back away games include the away derby that’s fine. If it includes two trips, that would be bad unless there is a bye between.

Last season we played Brisbane away in round 12 whilst the Eagles had the bye. Then in round 13 we had the bye and the Eagles played Geelong at home. Then in round 14 the Eagles played Melbourne at home whilst we played Geelong away.

Have the double ups been confirmed anywhere?

Don't believe so, only news is that document that's been floating around. Really hope that isn't correct, because have WCE as our only top 6 team is more than made up for by Port and Essendon twice if correct. Those two are probably the toughest teams of the middle 6, especially after their trade periods. As for Collingwood and Carlton (if true), that's still not quite ideal, especially seeing we've been hearing for years that the Pies will make finals.

I don't think it matters to be honest. It will be a long and tough season for us.

They've given us the hardest fixture possible. Port and Essendon are two of the flag favorites, Colingwood are one of the better teams in the middle six, Carlton are the best out of Carlon/Lions/GC/North. Our double ups, in comparison to the teams around us doesn't really make sense, whilst on the other hand, Collingwood have been handed a luxury.

I don't think the draw matters for **** all next year. Odds are unless we get zero B22 injuries we can't win the flag because zero depth. Finals pretty much the same story.

We also showed we can be competitive against most sides (except SAs) when we have most of our team out there. With that in mind, I think we will still win our fair share - especially at home once we get used to the venue. Sure the draw might cost us a win or two but I don't care about the wins (as long as we don't come last) as long as we are competitive in most games and avoid the massive beltings.

Ffs why are people afraid of collingwood and Carlton? Let's be confident guys! Those two teams are nobody's..lets pulverize those pricks. Port and Essendon are rolling the dice recruiting hard, anything can happen in that situation. We got shitter when we brought in Taz and Solomon. And don't get me started on the eagles...theyre FUKCED!
