It's not so much how many that was bad, it's the est. length of the injuries. Those TBAs were all full seasons except Bennell who managed just 2 games. Ballas was 8-10 weeks and Apeness 5-7 weeks - those are pretty lengthy times to be in rehab. Our current injury list has some quality players on it but the estimate for all (except Brad which we don't know yet) is a maximum of 2 weeks. Which is what it should be at the start of a season. Having 4 or so players with season ending injuries even before round 1 has knock on effects even if they aren't B22. Remember we also had a long list of players just coming back from season ending injuries the year before on top of that as well - and a lot of those were B22 (eg Fyfe).
True the length is much improved on last year , So from that perspective much better ,But still a very high percentage of the longterm ones were depth at best. With the exception of Alex and maybe Ballas , Bennell well i have sort of mentally removed him from the list anyway

Is Grade 1 the best or the worst you can hope for. The baldy on Ch 10 sport mentioned "grade 1" and them described Brad Hill's chances for Round 1 as "remote".

Grade 1 is the least injured. The most minor.

Ususally 2 - 4 weeks for a full recovery. So touch and go for round 1. Can't imagine they'd risk anything.

Feels like that’s b.hills first injury ...can’t remember him missing at hawhorn.

Hope he’s not like Stephen - doesn’t fully overcome an injury before returning.

"The 25-year-old's return date remains unclear with the Dockers still looking into the calf issues that ruined his first two years at the club."

I have been very positive about Harley mainly, but geez this is getting ridiculous now.
"Minor" 3 week calf my ass.

He was making the point that it takes a while for young players to reach their peak. Nothing weird about that.
No I got the point. Just found it strange that he choose to specifically bring up Dahlhaus who is uncontracted this year. When he could have said 100 other player names to make that point.
