Good opportunity to put some meat on the bones and develop some aerobic capacity through boxing and the alter G. Could actually be a blessing in disguise for him.

Injuries never 100% heal, especially if you require surgery

Knowing the way Freo accumulates injuries I would not be surprised if we did not see Logue or Dixon for the rest of 2018. Its the sort of sh!t luck that this club has on a regular basis.

Did you see Hill when the trainers tried to help him off the ground? He looked a million bucks by the time he got to the sidelines. Reckon he would've shrugged it off and stayed on the field if he wasn't done for the blood rule.
It doesn't sound like anything particularly serious either. Like Taylor said, might just be some bruising that took a while to come on.

I might of missed it somewhere - but can someone detail the play where Dixon did the injury?

Which makes the decision to bring him back on even more curious. Why take the risk?

Not really. He copped a knock on it towards the middle of the game yeah? Previous niggle was a quad.
Ross said on 7 News last night that Brad Hill was lucky to have not done his ACL - it does seem they took a risk sending him back out.

The other one they've got is on the boundary line;

Blue: go back on
Yellow: run the boundary for a while then go back on.
Red: have a jab then go back on
Purple: get the physio to rub you then go back on.
Aqua: rest a while then go back on.
Green: rest a while, then run the boundary, then get a rub, then go back on.

Eh. Yeah I mean if you twist your knee in a certain manner you're probably lucky you haven't done your ACL. That doesn't necessarily mean that an injury which doesn't pop it increases the risk. Depends what's wrong with it.

It's really hard to say from the outside, and tbh those who do deal with it are far more qualified and experienced with respect to assessing that risk than practically anyone else. The criticism just irks me because the vast majority really have NFI.
