As exciting as that looks does that tall forward line work these days? We also have TDK so a King doesn't make sense to me. Lukosius is a bit different so maybe? I watched Melbourne yesterday and with Hogan they played Melksham at FF and looked good against a good WCE defence.
IMO we need mids and runners. We have most other spots covered.
It would only work because of McKay and Curnow’s running abilities, they are both freaks and neither are lumbering libilities type.
The King twins probably not the right fit for us, although they are both pretty agile and highly talented 200cm key position players that can play at both ends are pretty rare.
Lukosius could be a good fit for us, contested marking isn’t his best trait, but we could be fine with that, he’s kicking skills are awesome, he can play as a forward or a defender, with potential to even play on a wing.
Rankin’s the one that would fit in perfectly with our forward line, we are light on for mids, but IMO we are lacking an elite goal kicking small forward even more so, Wright has been serviceable, but Rankin on talent is on another level.
If we only have the one top 5 pick, I’d want Bailey Smith, but if we do end up with a high end PP, Rankin would be my 2nd choice.
There is talk that he doesn’t want to leave SA, but the same stuff was being said about Rayner this time last year.
