I’m done with the Main Board. Basically it’s just an excuse for the usual suspects to write absolute crap about the Crows. The mods really should be deleting so much more crap than they do. The Main Board is a joke.

I'm all for it. The rooms are big enough these days to accomodate warm ups. And it will be good to not have to see the umpires prance around the oval for an hour before a game.

Good move. Hopefully we can get an SA Under 18 game or even a Crows reserves game as a curtain raiser

One of these things is not like the other ones.

I wouldn't put CEY in the same category as any of the other players. He's played 14 games in 3 years and has not done anything to suggest he'll get close to even 50 games (I've excluded 2017 as he was injured).

Even Knight has managed over twice as many games as CEY and has probably been injured for more games in total.

Don’t get me wrong if they have curtainraisers great but is it too late to schedule them for 2018?

I mentioned before that I think its to accommodate the AFLW expansion for next year. ie change the seasons to align for the increased number of games. This year will be about getting feedback from mens teams to see if what bugs need to be fixed

ie the uproar over the Crows mens team having a kick to kick when a curtain raiser was on previously

I think its possible. Expansion means the 8 round comp cant be sustained. Any longer takes the season into BBL and more hotter weather in January or push it into the season opener.

I also think the AFL are looking to make AFLX the summer comp.

I hope not, AFLX was awful.

I'd be able to accept the AFLW as curtain raisers however you would then need to go to the regular games to get in. For those that enjoyed going for free in the Summer would miss out. Which was great for families, even if it went up to $5 adults and children free it was still a hugely cheaper alternative. Shouldn't AFLW be able to stand on it's on? It has so far, and sure the interest has waned, it seems like a backwards step to me.

I do agree that it should be stand alone but because of the issues I mentioned I think double-up is the AFLs thinking

The colours it's wearing are vomit-inducing. It's really boxy looking, kinda like Ollie's head. And it looked great early on, but everyone has moved on since then.
