Yet another player who left for the $$$$$ ....that has ultimately gone backwards in his career .....joins Bock, Davis (IMO hasn't progressed) ....hope the money is good comfort Kurt

The rot is bookended by Fungus Watts at the start and Snake Lever at the end

On top of stalking his ex girlfriend, he's not exactly a quality individual...

From 2015
"The 29-year-old has been banished to host WAFL club Peel Thunder after Fremantle became fed up with him “not meeting the physical requirements for AFL football’’.

He's taken the bad boy thing up a notch or two

And wasted the rest

If only he were an intercept defender...

He certainly had no trouble intercepting those credit card details from Renault Melbourne

Arguably he was a very loose man at that brothel, he may even have been the third man up ;)

And gambling the rest, like Ox

Another man-child failed by a lack of leadership at the Demons

Apparently Lever said something and Blight commented.... but I can't read the fox site at work anymore. Can someone enlighten me please?

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/ma...s/news-story/59bc8965436744d83bf8af2ff9e30a7f
That article has cherry-picked lever's statements to make them appear innocuous, and hence make Blight sound like he's making something of nothing. They missed out the actual statements Blight was mainly referring to, statements that give the impression that Lever's a ****head, e.g. I can't remember what Lever said exactly but it was something about he's never seen a forward line do the miraculous stuff Melbourne's forward line is doing...words to that effect, which in context was pointedly delivered as an insult to the Crows forward line.

...you know, it's better than the forward line that scored more by shitloads than every other team in the AFL. That forward line.

I watched the first three quarters of the 2006 GF last night and was surprised at how different and sparkling the game was compared with recent GFs (but, don't mention the drugs!). Judd and Kerr were absolutely brilliant and seemed a level above anything running around today.

Anyway, the main point of revisiting this is the kickouts. BF has been upset for years about our style of long and high to the right, with the ball coming back often. In this match WC almost invariably kicked out to a leading defender (at any angle) and took the ball away in an attacking fashion 90% of the time. Why don't we do this? Don't we have the cattle to do this: it seems pretty effective, but obviously would require great fitness.

Seems like an odd time to leave a club unless there was an injury. Otherwise, think he was contracted this year and probably didn't get offered an extension.

deaneus - time to unlock the Kurt thread?

Bet Longmire pushed him out by telling him he wasn’t going to play him in the seniors. Kurt could’ve been the highest paid NEAFL player or retire.

We wait for designated kickers. A lt of the time leading options have dried up because oppo zone is in place. Pinpointing leading players amongst a fully set press is not for the under-skilled or faint of heart. But if you get the ball in quickly, the margin for error is greatly increased
