OK thoughts to ponder, how many AFL clubs that own Pokies and Pubs have received AFL handouts, without being forced to sell some of there pokies or pubs.
Leading me to ask why are a clubs, not asset tested before gaining AFL financial Handouts.

Why would you force a club to sell a money spinner before giving them a hand out? That just seems like a good way to ensure that they need even more hand outs in the future.

On a different note, anyone know what’s going on with Wigg up at the Gold Coast?

Should be plenty of opportunities but doesn’t seem to have featured yet?

Ankle fracture. Started running again Mid-Feb, mentioned by Suns post-intra club. Should be pushing for some big NEAFL games and AFL selection in the first 6 weeks of the season you'd hope. Hopefully he gets an opportunity to show he deserves a gig at AFL level.

Edit. Just saw he had an injury. But I stand by my belief he will never make it and will end up back in the SANFL and do well there.

It's a bit like the Bay "is what it is "! Nobody expects a serious or even in some cases, sane conversation.

The Main Board is where it is what it is but don't disagree with anyone - where every single opinion is dissected to within an inch of its life.

So when I said on there that I didn't like Adam Goodes and listed my reasons, mainly that I think he's an attention whore & a self righteous flog, I am immediately called racist.

Is it a money spinner. and if it is, they have collateral for loans, But they don't need to because the AFL will bail them out.
In effect, they are going bankrupt and getting bailouts from the AFL but are allowed to keep all there assets. If you look at the list of Vic clubs, some of the clubs that received bailouts are now among the rich clubs.
In effect, the well-managed clubs are paying for these clubs to keep the Pokie venues. Do you think they will return the favour?
It one area that needs to be looked at.
