Possible Ruck solution if Simpson plays...
Gigantic would like your thoughts on the Ruck conundrum at GWS.

Lobb will be #1. Not sure how he has been training or whether there are any current injury concerns as i have not heard much about him lately.

But I'd have Simpson as #2, highly unlikely we'll play 2 rucks though.

Not a chance. Defending this medal means more to me than $50k cash

Cogs has been going great by all reports, injury-free off season and is training well. I have him in my side and I'm expecting him to average at least 100 this season. Very good value at his price

Just so you know the MND ice challenge round is round 4 this year so make sure your team is ready...

Love him, being a Perth Demons boy helps too...still think he is the best value of all the mid this year...
Really hope he gets to show of his talent in 2018...do you think his role will change this year due to Williams and Wilsons absence?

I have no clue at the moment. Cogs has been doing a fair bit of goal kicking practice as extras though, but more so just to sharpen skills than preparing to play up the field more or anything.

The things Williams and Wilson brought are going to be hard to replace by the current crop of available players so I'd imagine we'll have to make a few adjustments. Can't imagine Cogs' role will change though.

Cheers bloke for the info, good luck in SC 2018 mate.

Not a problem. Same to you
I hope Hai_Newman has rotten luck and I pulverise him and his pathetic team and take his money in any cash league we are in...
But that's just me :p

Backing in Kreuzer as R1 because frankly no one else appeals.

Gawn R2.

Naitanui's doctor scared me off.

How come? whatd he say?

Fairly broad comments but still worries me.

"His injury was a bigger injury than other ACLs (anterior cruciate ligament)," said leading Perth orthopaedic surgeon Peter Annear, who performed the operation to repair Naitanui's knee.

"When you rupture your ACL that is one part of the injury, but it is often the secondary injury.

"He had a big bone injury and that was very much why on the medical side of things we have gone slower with him."

"We can wiggle his knee and say he is stable, his movement is good, his muscle is good," explained Dr Annear.

"But all those subtle, what we call 'proprioceptive-type' movements — where he feels where his knee is on the field — that will improve and still be improving. That takes (another) 12 months.

"If you talk to footy coaches it is a two-year recovery, so this first year back after an ACL they tend not to play as well, they tend to be improving out to their pre-injury level."

"He certainly won't be, in the first half of the season, the player he was before the injury," said Dr Annear.

"That is how most of the footballers tend to improve, over that first three to six months.

"I think we have to temper our hopes that he suddenly comes back and arrives, we are top four and he is playing like he used to."

Have him (NicNat) at the moment, but firmly on the watch list in the pre season now. Who are people going with in the rucks?

Currently have Gawn (R1) and NicNat (R2) with a rookie on the bench.

Don't want to have to mess with the rest of my team to reach for another ruck but then again, he is the cheapest of the 1st rucks in the list.

Ryder is literally the only other ruck that interests me and his bye is shit.
If Lycett plays the first 8 games I'd happily trade him to Ryder after his bye and have him as an extra premo during the normal bye rounds.
Well that's the plan anyway.

Reliability is the big test this season, with no FWD/RUCKS to think off ......Nic Nat will start slow

ATM i have Jacobs / Gawn ......but Stephan Martin is a strong option
