How come this Friday’s match (once again a home game for the strikers) is a 3:10pm start despite being the only bbl game that day?

Timed to finish just ahead of the Aust vs India ODI being played that night - due to start at 7.00 CDST, I believe.

I reckon every team should be able to have an associate player that counts as a local. I haven't thought about this fully but it could help

I was actually thinking about it the other day that an associate team of the year could play the #1 ranked odi/T20i team in a match. Would certainly boost the interest in associate cricket and be a just reward for the best associate players.

Unfortunately there's only 1 batsman and 1 bowler from associate nations that are listed in the top runs and wicket takers this year.

Should be able to have 3 internationals play makes the league better especially when Australian representatives are not available.

Mire plays international for Zimbabwe, but is an Australian as well. Very different to what eth's talking about.

It’s designed for the final host to be decided a week in advance, the eliminator is a bit stupid but they are trying to keep interest to the end by having more teams a chance to make it. Atm any of 7 teams could play finals with 2 licks and one no chance

Can't remember. A better example would be Lega Siaka, who is from PNG and was on their roster as a 'rookie', but he didn't play a game.

Bangladesh premier league has so much more to offer financially it's actually embarrassing for the BBL
