Sad for Tom, but also means we could easily finish above Hawthorn this year, one player doesn't make a team but its a hell of a dent. Likely they miss finals now.

C'mon, man, this is Hawthorn. Clarko could take the Auskick kids from half-time and turn them into a finals team in a month or two.

Lets see what he can do with Darren Minchington.

terrible news ... although an oppo player you gotta respect the fact he is a damn good one ... it sucks when an injury in preseason wipes out a season ... hopefully unlike Gooses leg this one heals quickly and without complication

Just saw the Mitchell news......first thought was what a disaster for the Hawks......absolutely horrible for Mitchell.

It shows yet again that disaster for a player and possibly their club there after is just a blink away.

A few in the media were speculating that after his stellar 2018 year....he could have gone back to back with the Brownlow.

Horrible news for Mitchell and the hawks. It's never good to see players injured.

But, the plus side for us is we get them round 4, hopefully Clarko's magic spell hasn't quite taken effect by then

with him out in round 4 that certainly makes Hawthorn a differant prospect ... last time we played them Mitchell had a lazy 45 possesions between him and Smith we were never in that game ...

Feel bad for Mitchell but don’t care about the Hawks . It must be a really bad break as they had to get the ambulance on the ground to help him . Hopefully he will recover and play next season. Remember Brown from the Dogs / Tigers , he was never the same player after his bad break .

Anyway , I hope the Hawks drop down the ladder .

Go Saints

Big blow for Hawks 2019 season.
I remember Goose and Terry Wallet's love child (Browny) breaking their legs. Neither were ever the same.

Wonder if Clarko can work his magic and develop another gun from seemingly nowhere to keep their ladder position up.
Or... could the Saints actually sneak ahead of them now.

Interesting times ahead.

Next thing, he turns Meatball into a midfield accumulator...

Especially since they have O’Meara still on shaky ground, and Scully who won’t play for ages, if ever...
Got to feel very sorry for Mitchell, both bones is a serious break.

Its going to be interesting watching the Hawks midfield this year considering how dependant they are on Mitchell being the main accumulator. Tag him heavily and they suffer but not having him in the side means Clarko is going to have to adjust. Thing is, they are an old as hell team without that midfield dominance of 5 years ago. Tough.
