Over budget surely?
3 mid pricers, 7 rookies on field. Pretty standard!

Gibbons comes in once added to the game.
Am I going too guns n rookies?
Neale can always become one of Hanners/Miles/Libba if they show good signs in JLT and use the spare cash elsewhere.
Appreciate any feedback.....
Yeah he definitely will be playing mostly mid. He'll drift down forward for a goal or two, but he'll be in the guts with Danger, Parfitt, Duncan etc. Will Kelly play mostly mid? Do you think he is a top 6 forward? Legitimate gun, worried about 2nd year blues/an unwillingness to be there
Yep agree with this. Became a luxury for us once we retained Gaff. Best thing for him and both Geelong and Eagles is that he plays a great season. Outcome would then be that Geelong get something half decent for him and that Eagles see him play another good year at the top level giving them insurance that it wasn’t a flash in the pan. I want to start with him but not so sure I can squeeze him inYeah he definitely will be playing mostly mid. Wouldn't be too stressed about either of those things. It's his wife that really had the problem, he was fine to stay/loved the club and the players. He's been welcomed back with open arms and all reports are that he's training well and hitting every session with good intensity.
We've had this discussion a fair few times on the Geelong board, and my argument always is, is that if he wants to go to West Coast and get that same paycheck they were offering, then he'll have to perform his ass off. Now that they've retained Gaff, he's not a necessity but rather, a luxury for them now. He'll know that, so he'll want to have a blinder of a season if he still wants the Eagles to take him.

Current team:
Def: Laird, Lloyd, Whitfield, Z.Williams, Wigg, Wilkie / Hore, Goddard
Mid: Macrae, Cripps, Zerrett, Taranto, Libba, Walsh / Constable, Bewley
Ruck: Grundy, Gawn / Fort, Xerri
Fwd: Danger, Dunkley, Wingard, Setterfield, Cavarra, Wilkinson / Mcadam, Corbett
Is Macrae worth 890k or are options like Kelly and Oliver better picks?

Starting with Laird is a plus,Slight Revised Team
Def: Lloyd, Laird, Witherden, Williams, Collins, Wigg
Mid: Cripps, Merrett, Kelly, Adams, BCrouch, Walsh, Bewley,Constable
Ruck: Grundy, Jacobs
Fwd: Dangerfield, Dunkley, Heeney, Setterfield, Rankine, Cavarra.
I have gone completely cold on Martin, after coming out with his injuries and Fagan declaring the Number 1 ruck position up for grabs.
I have gone for slightly expensive forward rookies, as I think Job security is probably going to be important, as the forward 170K rookies are a bit light on for early selection. So paying up may be the way.
I have tried to pick at least three players in each line that will be a longer term plan with who could be there in the best 22 at the end of the season.
Theres defs quick changes i could make i.e. Laird down to Whitfield and then use cash possibly upgrade Jacobs or Adams.
Whats your thoughts?
Starting with Laird is a plus,
2017 - Round 1
Laird 142 points
(Scored over 110 in 4 out of first 6 games and 6 out of the first 9)
2018 - 5 out if the first 6 over 110
1.124
2.141
3.120
4.115
5.89
6.114
Look for players that love "summer" footy.
Ebert seems to be a different footballer once Winter hits.
Too many mid-pricers for my liking, if it all comes off could be a master stroke.Def: Simpson, Roberton, Mills, Burton, Williams, Logue
Mids: Coniglio, Cripps, Ross, Brayshaw, Brayshaw, Miles, Libba, Bewley
Rucks: Witts, Clarke
Fwds: Danger, McLean, Mundy, Worpel, Setterfield, Cavarra
Haven't really looked into rookies as yet.
Definetly going for some POD's and players with the ability to make some cash.
Feedback greatly appreciated.
Yeeeah that was my concern aswell.. I really like my backline but a lot depends on Andy Brayshaw, Libba, McLean and Mundy improving as I expect them to. Definetly risky and I'll certainly be changing my mind fifty times before Round 1.Too many mid-pricers for my liking, if it all comes off could be a master stroke.
I went mid-priced last year and by round 3 was over 600 points off the pace and the season was over. G/LYeeeah that was my concern aswell.. I like the Mundy pick, not enough respect even though he is old, he has a good ability to score and might run through the midfield more now the forward is more stacked.Def: Simpson, Roberton, Mills, Burton, Williams, Logue

With the growing list of uber-premos/premos going down and the opening pool of mid-pricers/risky premos, I've decided to see what it would be like to have a crack at something that is downright ridiculous in terms of stability, haha.
