Trading keath for a 1st round pick isnt out of the question at all. Tall defenders that can intercept mark, kick and have genuine speed are hard to come by. Him being 28 is not really an issue as hes a young 28 due to him starting later than most. Our offer to him by all accounts has been well short of what hes worth. Under $250 k. Really it depends on who wants him. If we look at teams that need a chb/fb type and in the finals window i can see these ones going for him.

Why wouldn't you just go to E&Y given their obvious expertise and success with Richmond?

Obvious. They dont want any change. This is a PR exercise to back up Chapman, Burton, Roo, Campo, Fagan, Pyke, Hass. All will get glowing reports. Club will turn this around on the supporters stating they are troublemakers.

I’d suggest he means we offered him 250k less than what he’s being offered not that we offered him less than 250k

Heard from a solid source that Jenkins to Geelong (who clearly don't have a salary cap) is a done deal. We will also be paying $250k of his salary to move him.
Not sure if we are getting anything back or just getting him out, but that's the deal.

Oh I fully expect them to manipulate any review, but to do so so brazenly, using the firm that Chapman's managing director used to be a partner in... surely that is such an enormously cut and dried conflict of interest that even the crows would have to steer clear of it

Not comfortable with this. Worked in those industries before and they value the client relationship above all else (means long term $$$). They’ll present the data but ensure it aligns with Chapmans views/position.
