Wouldn't think Eagles would have too many suitors, will be great depth in case of injury.

I’d hope not. He’s an awful kick and decision maker for a wing. Can’t really see any upside compared to Cutler or Taylor.
Give him number 21... the. We can pretend we have Sauce Merrett back playing for us?What is it that you think he’ll add to our team?

Fair enough, however I would rate him in front of Ellis-Yolman
Reading the article, it sounds like Cutler has been offered a contract, but is looking at his options.Article featuring Tom Cutler looking at Victorian clubs... But good news regarding Matt Eagles, looks like we will be able to retain him as a cat b

Yes.Reading the article, it sounds like Cutler has been offered a contract, but is looking at his options.
Is that the way others read it?

*Robertson . Please don't do that to meSo our B&F is Saturday night, expect announcements Monday morning at the latest - Cutler, Robinson, Taylor to be traded on rumours so far. With 2 being traded in (at least) and 3 drafted there is still some movements. I'm still thinking we will get a younger ruckman somewhere in this, maybe the rookie draft.
I wonder if another club selects Matty Eagles can they list him as a category B rookie as well or just us.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone else picked him up as depth, the Suns a good chance IMO.
Not according to their fans. Any talk of picking up our de-listings/ fringe players is laughable according to their board. Mind you that's the pretty standard response isn't it. 'Why would we want your spuds, etc..?'
Accept Eagles isn’t a spud he’s just stuck behind Andrews, Gardiner Adams. He’s shown he can play at grade as well.

Not sure why the club want him to remain Cat B because you can’t even play him unless there is a LOng term injury.Accept Eagles isn’t a spud he’s just stuck behind Andrews, Gardiner Adams. He’s shown he can play at grade as well.

Probably about as well as the Post and other talks that went down on here when we were down the bottom of the ladder. Fairly accurately as well.Oh I agree completely. I just jumped on their board when news of the extended rookie list broke and suggested they might come sniffing around guys like Basti, Eagles, Walker, Keays, Lester etc.... Did not go down well... Haha
I think Crisp had just started to show glimpses of what he was capable of , cutler on the other hand has already shown what he is capable of and just needs a team to get him back there.Cutler looks more than likely to be the next Karnezis, rather than Crisp IMO.
I would suggest it means the team doesn't see him likely to play AFL. Given Cat A is just an extension of the senior list these days, the fact that we're not promoting him also means it doesn't really make sense to move him to Cat A as you're not really gaining anything. Not sure why the club want him to remain Cat B because you can’t even play him unless there is a LOng term injury.
I know list spots are tight and I guess we have Payne in the wings but I would prefer him just on the Cat A list so you can play him if required.
You forgot to mention the Torp master Polkinghorne.Cutler going to bombers would be my guess..... dodoro loves recruiting ex lions
