Firstly calm the feck down. Just pointing out there were some around here insinuating like the kid was a whale. Being injured at the pointy end of a pandemic where we were told not to go outside ridiculous for periods of time must not have been easy when I’m sure that’s all he wanted to.
He lives in Albury, doesn’t he?

This is how I see it playing out on the night based on some info regarding specific teams to date. Subject to change.

Crows - Thilthorpe
North - McDonald
Dogs - JUH (matched Swans bid)
Swans - DGB
Swans - Campbell(matched Hawks bid)
Hawks - ?
Phillips is something for horse or stuff

I think so. If so then yeah he didn’t have as long a lockdown as VIC but when all this crap first hit nothing was business as usual anywhere for a long period.
There was nothing stopping the lad doing his rehab though.

Soo if we are talking to this Josh Eyre lad...does that indicate our first will used on a mid?

Not sure of where this kid is projected to go but is 24 a possibility?

I think we will mix and match depending what is there that like at our first pick.

For example if McDonald somehow lands in our lap, we take him and then a Mid late. And vice versa should a mid that we rate be sitting there at 4 and we take a tall later.

Most likely Phillips which isn’t a bad pick whatsoever 👍. Would like Perkins there if we did take him as his ceiling is a bit higher then Phillips. Though his kicking is slightly worrying.

There are few posters on here you can doubt when they make a call based on their source, and neither RnL or Hodgey are one of them.

Edit: which is frustrating as I was so keen on Hollands.
At least we got the news early so we can’t be as disappointed when we don’t take him 😣. Gonna be good watching the kid be an absolute star for another team.

If he drops a lot as all clubs think the same will we pick him if we got a pick in the teens I wonder.

Life has been normal in Albury for a while now. For example I got drunk at the pub watching Hawthorn beat Carlton in Perth which feels like an eternity ago.

However if Elijah lives in Wodonga (I'm actually unsure) it would have been slightly more difficult. It was quite absurd that Wodonga was locked down while Albury wasn't when the only thing separating us was a 20 metre wide body of water.

Essendon have 3 picks in a row. They’ll take him.

There’s a huge difference between not doing your rehab and putting on 2-3 kgs though. I never said that he was / wasn’t doing his rehab just that I didn’t think he looked as bad as some where making it out to be.

I’ve never done and ACL before but I’d assume it’s similar to when you hurt any part of your knee (PCL / MVC / Meniscus etc) in that early on your limited to the amount of conditioning your allowed to do and just mainly focus on the muscles around the knee (repetitive stretching). Outside of hitting the exercise bike and being stuck inside for long periods it most definitely would’ve been challenging. You’d hope the kid had access to a swimming pool to do water work.

Winder is someone's name I've seen come up pretty frequently about the place but I've not heard of much interest in him from us- does anyone have information as to what his strengths are and why he might not be on our radar?
I've read a quote about his physical attributes, that he is the most likely of the draft class to break a game apart with his speed/agility etc.

I've been looking but can't find highlights but I'm intrigued...

Actually couldn't even tell you his preferred on-field position... but I want him!

Tested really well in the combine.

This has been how I've been feeling for a while now.
I think this draft isfull of talent we're just not willing to state that because we haven't seen as much from the vic lads.
Winder, Ford, and Laurie are all players I think will go on to be big players in our game on top of the other dozen or so good players already identified in this draft.

Well in this scenario our pick is a mid. Most likely Hollands BUT Phillips has to be a chance given his attributes and Bruhn also looks like he could play - would have been fascinating to see where they went without injuries in an uncompromised draft - I suspect they might all have been higher picks than the talls who are only there because they played WAFL/SANFL

He’s a small forward, likely to go in the second round of the draft. Winder will most likely be available come pick 24. Whether or not he’s on our radar remains to be seen.
