With swans writing off a few more players for the season it’s going to be touch and go whether we finish below them or north. If swans get below us and already have Campbell in the bag as a academy player could see them taking on Hollands etc. Feels like it evens out after the top 4-5 so a win or two by us could make a material difference in who we get.

With an early pick it’s hard not to go best available but feel Phillips is the worst fit for us (unless we plan on trading out our existing mids).

If the reports about our injuries are true I wouldn't be worrying about this

I think O'driscoll will be our man. Has the most upside with the mids. He's athletic, quick and 190cm now. Nice left foot kick. personally I just think after watching Will Day and going the upside pick there, we will do it again and he will be our man. Dominated as an underage. The more i research him the more I like him.

Could definitely see if it we end up with Pick 5-6. Would be a bold call with Pick 3-4 though, especially if one of McDonald or Hollands is available.

If the Dons get reamed by the Tigers this week, they could also put a few out to pasture.

Of course it matters if Sydney get a pick before us. If we finish above them on the ladder it will look more like:

Pick 1 - Western Bulldogs - Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (bid matched from Adelaide)
Pick 2 - Adelaide - Riley Thilthorpe
Pick 3 - North Melbourne - Logan McDonald
Pick 4 - Sydney - Elijah Hollands
Pick 5 - Sydney - Braeden Campbell (matching Hawks Bid)
Pick 6 - Hawthorn - Denver Grainger-Barras

I would be happy with DGB, but Hollands or one of the three tall forwards would be a much better fit for us.

North aren't afraid to make a bid or two.

Obviously if Adelaide choose to not bid on JUH then North will 100% make the bid. Wouldn't surprise me if they make a play for Campbell as well.

I also think it’s very important that Wright gets at least two small forwards in this years draft with those late picks. Haven’t recruited a small forward in the draft in very long time.

I know Im not confident of beating the Crows at all.
We are probably their only realistic game of getting a win up .
We get them off a short break , undermanned and at their home ground.
They will set themselves
I think we will win 1, 2 max and wouldn't be suprised if the Crows arent one of them

I actually see North winning more games than us on the run home with our injuries. Think they will get some confidence from matching Bris last week. We are only going to maybe beat Adelaide, no one else. It’s pick 2 or 3 for us surely.

Yep. It’s easy to get caught up in the names we might miss out on if we win X games and finish above Swans and Freo.

Drafting players is never an exact science. Imagine if we were bad 5 years ago - we’d all be hoping Clarko loses games to ensure we land Josh Schache
