I assume we wouldn't have used the pick 40 they were offering once you factored in all the earlier picks we're getting. It probably would've ended up traded out for a future 3rd on draft day.

Cant wait for all the Cats supporters to appear here:'(
To tell us how unreasonable we are to deal with

"Literally worse than Essendon"

Well at least Phantom Drafts are interesting this year, last years "Match Tom Green, pick Hayden Young if Dees don't bid" was boring as

LOL the first thing I did was go to Knightmare’s page and Twomey’s!

So the final trade was:

OUT: 13, 15, 20, Future 4th
IN: Cameron, Essendon Future 2nd (Pick 24 based on this year), Giants Future 2nd (Pick 27 based on this year)

Actually pretty fair in the end, and a good result for both clubs :)

Thought you'd bent us over a barrel with us giving up the three 1sts, but the two future picks coming back really ended up making it pretty even, all things considering

Cheers for the banter over the duration, and so glad trade period is over!

Interesting on AFL website Daren Glass.
It really came about quite late. Alex and his management reached out to use right before Trade Period and we went from there.
I suspect that Alex felt like it was a good fit. I think they (Witherden and his manager) put their homework in…it’s unusual for us to get Victorian-based players here without drafting them. Generally we’re scouting WA boys but Alex put his hand up.
Sounds like the trade was driven by Witherden - maybe he just doesn't like orange. :D
