The Eagles really don't like playing in Queensland

You take away the Eagles ability to turn over possession at half back and you’re half way there. I’m surprised more teams don’t just grub the ball i50 against them. Don’t just bomb it in speculatively and give the Eagles half backs a run at it.

Rule a line through the Eagles, shown up in QLD again.

The only way they will win a flag is if someone knocks the Tigers off in a prelim.

Would need a miraculous American Pie performance to do it again IMO as well. Cats could with Tomahawk.

After tonight Richmond and Geelong are my two favorites for the flag. Although Port is on top, I don't think they are on the same level. They got the jump on the season but tbh if it was a regular 22 game season I do think they would realistically be sitting about 5th behind West Coast and Brisbane. Even St Kilda and Collingwood could push beyond Port. This season has all the hall marks of the famous Ken Hinkley fade out he has been famous for throughout his tenure.

I know the media and others have got really excited about the Eagles premiership credentials but can we actually go thru their results for the last 4 weeks at home -

1. Defeated the Cats by 9 points
2. Defeated Carlton by 22 points after Carlton lead by 20 points in the 3rd
3. Defeated an undermanned Hawthorn convincingly (Hawthorn have won 1 of their last 9 games)
4. Defeated GWS by 12 points

It is hardly convincing form and this has been whilst they have been at home. I’m not convinced they can win it away from Perth. Will be lucky to finish top 4 as likely to drop more games in Qld.
