I'd say they have been ultra aggressive in the last few years..they beat us to trade up last year and got rozee..a player that could be the best in his draft year he looks superb. Butters and duursma look tge biz as well. They also ended up with 3 picks inside 25 this year and i think georgiades on a small sample looks like he could be anything and the other 2 lads they got in bergman and williams also have lots of promise.

What can be said is that recently they have been aggressive trading players / picks to try to get to where they want and have taken a number of very promising kids..i just hope ours turn out to be better than theirs

We've had worse draft picks than them for the last 10 years, yet we've gone better than them on the field, so its typically been the case that ours do turn out better, I'm still waiting to see a consistent shift to them doing better than us on field before I'm conceding that they're doing better than us drafting.

I agree. They do seem to pick well initially. Their problem is really years 2-5 for players under Hinkley.

Is that development or talent ID? They have recruited a lot of big kids, Wines and SPP especially who seem like they peaked early. Maybe other teams passed on their recruits for that reason.

Wines and SPP are the wrong shape for modern footy.
We did the same thing. Focused on ball winning and contested ball, only for the game to almost go 180 degrees in the other direction.

Don't mix picking the eyes out of a draft but forgetting the most important issue,
Sometimes the best players are not very good at there disposal, Port biggest weakness is their turnovers. maybe they should get players that can dispose of the ball better.

I know someone involved with the Power who has travelled with them to China in the past. He was told the game was cancelled at least a week ago, they are just working out contract issues and ensure they don't harm any relationships.
